In the beginning of the movie, I thought humans had just discovered a proof of aliens, but then when I saw them on an advanced ship, I was ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ ͠⁠°⁠ ͟⁠ʖ⁠ ⁠°͠⁠ ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯.

Also, if they are that advanced, why can't they somehow extend their lifespan?

This film and its sequel ruined the whole Aliens universe with their stupid black goo. I don't consider any if it canon. Black goo is nonsense. Engineers are nonsense. Alien origins is nonsense.

The only real Aliens films are 1 and 2. The rest might as well not exist.

Alien 4 Resurrection was the last good Alien movie. I remember more scenes from that movie than from all later Alien movies combined.

It's interesting that you are focused on that. I guess I have to watch Alien 1 and 2 to really know why.

IMO the newer movies suck simply because they have bad acting and too many clichés.

Alien 3 is a good movie but the production was rushed.

Resurrection had big budget and famous actors, but a lot of people hate it because it isn't serious enough.

I don't think they are bad. However, they could definitely not try to act if they think it's not serious for them.

I've seen some of the actors from the Prometheus movie in other movies; they're great.

Probably too many cliches.

I can watch a movie that has characters that I don't like.

Or are you saying the characters that aren't really convincing makes them unlikable?

I watched the trailer for the second one, and I felt that it probably is the same thing but way lame. But I thought I could be wrong, as I wanted to watch all of the Alien movies in chronological order.
