Had a chance to re-read this today. I never actually did see my aunt. And I don't have to feel guilty for not seeing her. That's my past speaking - how family is sacred and the tradition, rules, and culture need to be respected. Is that really true? The same elders who bullied and suppressed my authentic self?

I'm changing my last name despite my sister being uncomfortable with it. "You need to preserve and respect it." Says who? These are the same ignorant people that told me to always respect my elders and never question their authority.

Defying all these structures is how I opened my mind and am becoming more free.

I am in the process of legally changing my name to Yimpa while Trump is transitioning to become President. I will be going to court. Preparing for all this is super stressful, but also exciting. My current name has many different variations and aliases; I hope the judge won’t be confused.

While I was gone for a month, I was busy preparing for a psychedelic trip. Once I did that, I needed to take additional time to integrate and process. 

It was like a mini-vacation and hard work rolled into one.

Fun fact: I speak in multiple tones. Siri on my HomePod has a difficult time understanding who I really am; it almost always asks, “Who is speaking?” every time I request something personal. Then I have to authenticate via my iPhone to confirm it’s really me. So annoying!
