Religion v gdp

Just saw a graph that showed that there is a very strong trend between religion and gdp per capita, where the lower the religiosity, the higher the gdp per capita. What’s the phenomena?  Are countries poor because of high religiosity, or are countries super religious because they are poor?

Less developed countries are more religious. But that doesn't mean religion is the cause of these things.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Generally true.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Israel and parts of the US are exceptions to the rule.

It seems like education might be the confounding variable.

“Our most valuable resource is not time, but rather it is consciousness itself. Consciousness is the basis for everything, and without it, there could be no time and no resource possible. It is only through consciousness and its cultivation that one’s passions, one’s focus, one’s curiosity, one’s time, and one’s capacity to love can be actualized and lived to the fullest.” - r0ckyreed
