How can I become a future presidential candidate?

I want to become a future presidential candidate one day. How can I work my way up this level? 

Currently I'm doing these things in politics below. 

1. Volunteering for a political campaign 

2. Currently getting my degree in pubic policy 

3. I just attended a political leadership event to learn what it is like to run in politics. 

Also, the way I was thinking about getting to this position would happen in some form below.

1. Running for House Seat in my State

2. Running for Senate Seat in my State 

3. Running for U.S Congress

4. Becoming a Senator, Mayor or Governor 

5. Then Running for Office
