High Quality YouTube Growth Material?

Hi Guys,

 

I've started a YT channel and would like to put time into studying the best practices to grow it. I really just want to make it high quality and powerful. 

 

Does anyone know any good resources specifically for YouTube? Books, podcasts, channels, etc. 

I don't want to sell out and do a bunch of cringe, click-bait, cheesy shit. But i want to know what works in a high quality way.

You might want to start by editing the last sentence "but I don't want to know" to "but I do want to know".

I want to fuse consciousnes work with Men's work. I find a large need for young men to have guidance through the mixed signals of porn, social media, doom scrolling and general nihilism and negativity. I want to help them mix both spiritual awakening along with becoming better men in the human realm. This is my passion and my fire. I really just want to do it for its' own sake and to help people. I'm not trying to get rich, famous, etc, but if it does allow me to end up coaching later on that would be a plus too.

To stay creative focus in on what you love to create and what you get from creating videos. Just focus on that and watch it expand. Ask yourself “why do I love to make YouTube videos?” “What is my authentic gift I have that I can share?” this way you will get real clear on your purpose and authenticity.

Im making YouTube also. My plan is to grow my channel over the next few years and find a way to have it support my travels and living abroad. I’m making travel content.

@BlessedLion got to focus on making that voice louder when editing, and creating a stronger atmosphere. If you want to be like Leo and just being a talking head that's fine but Leo has really good sound quality, and people associate the loudness of the video and the bassiness with quality so it's really important.

The audio sounds a lot better actually, but if we just compare Leo's video side by side you could really hear the difference in presentation and atmosphere and presence. In post editing you got to do some audio work. There is almost a ASMR to it, because all the background noise is perfectly cut out, and the voice stands out in isolation beautifully to its environment.

You want to get that intimacy sound quality.

So right away we can tell that his Voice is so much louder, part of that is that he's yelling lol, but also in post-editing he  added elements to his voice. YouTube caps loudness at -14 LUFS, so you want to crank up the loudness so it matches that. If you're using DaVinci Resolve you can easily monitor this but you should be able to monitor it in any editor. 

Look at all this stuff this guy does just to make his voice sound good in post-editing. I understand that he's not spiritually enlightened, he's just some kid but it's a demonstration of what he does to transform his voice in post editing using audacity. And his voice is very loud very strong very clear and has very strong presence. You got to learn how to use compressors and Eq, noise reduction, and other audio tricks. 

I think he overdid it it sounds a little too bassy, but in general you want to get that voice to sound strong.

Ai animated Documentaries from the future, I'm still a beginner doe.

I wanted to use AI video generation to make fake documentaries as if they are coming from the future.
