Amanita muscaria ?

Has anybody tried this psychedelic ?

That's not a 5ht agonist, not even an acetylcholine antagonist as i thought, it's both a GABA and NMDA agonist ; It's a astonishing pharmacology.

I've seen negative things in trip reports, like feelings of drunkenness and intoxication rather than the illumination we're all used to from psychedelics. It's interesting that this mushroom appears in a lot of mystical symbolism, because it sounds like the experience sucks lol.

It is not that bad. You have to decarboxylate it and play a bit around with the muscimol/ ibotenic acid ratio. Muscimol is sedating, calming while ibotenic acid is energizing for most people. For me it was like a strange  dream while being awake. But I treated it with respect, did not went that far with it. It is not psychedelic. What it does is it takes away your fears and you can have a very detached view about your life and problems. If you completely decarb it (only muscimol left) it really shines for insomnia and improved sleep (don't think anything else can beat it in this aspect). It can also be used transdermal for aches and pains (never tried but heard it does wonders for the joints).

I've tried once, and everything was spinning and I was really dizzy. Lots of nausea too.

"I've tried once, and everything was spinning and I was really dizzy. Lots of nausea too."

That's why you have to decarb it which is actually boiling it in a low PH tea for some hours.

Also:

Organized like a scientific study, showing some good results with microdosing Amanita (mostly dried caps but very low dose)

Let me know if you need more resources on this, like how to decarb, etc. Amanita is worth a try and also legal in many countries
