Where did that come from, lol.

I am not saying you are or aren't, I was just speaking hypothetically of what some other possibilities are.

Rupert Sheldrake, although he is also "more" than that.

Is he really a Christian?

He prays to Jesus? He worships a human?

The burning will set you free if you but allow it. I'm actually helping you by stepping on places where your ego is stuck. That's why you feel the heat.

Please, don't.

To be honest I don't see anything wrong with it.

A religion can be understood from a stage blue perspective and up until the higher stages.

They are all different paths to god, you have mystics in all religions and traditions.

I grew up from a Muslim background but I left it for spirituality and now I'm finding my way back to mystic form of Islam, I don't like most Muslims because they take it as dogma and don't read in between the lines for the spiritual wisdom.

But it is really accelerating my path for me.

Christianity can be the same.

He is a "practising Anglican", meaning he goes to church and that's probably about it. He emphasizes the communal aspect of religious practice.

In the last few years, Russell Brand has been moving more and more towards conspiracy theories and the political right, which has attracted a new conservative viewership.

I think he's aware of this and is pandering to this target audience by updating his persona from a new-age guru type to, I don't know, a more conservative type, with the cross necklace and the cowboy hat?

It seems pretty obvious what's going on here, much like what happened to JP Sears, also known as the 'Ultra Spiritual Guy'.

@Carl-Richard So he treats Christianity as a social club.

Fine, but there's nothing intelligent about that.

A religious social club.

It's intelligent to not dismiss fundamental aspects of life as trivial :)

I see so many entrepreneurs coming out as Christians nowadays that it is just networking and niching at this point.

These acts don't mean much in my view.

Like changing shirts.

Is Russel Brand doing this to gain more popularity?

My name is Reena Gerlach and I'm a woman of few words.

Or I hold a much higher standard for intelligence than any human.

No, you are right.

I just wanted to say that I know extremely rational Christians, and that the Christian liturgy is still a relatively solid way to get closer to God, even if it seems too biased and therefore stupid for your level of consciousness for you to agree to play it.
I don't know if that makes sense.
