When should you feel qualified to talk about something?

Hey internet friends...

I have revisited Leo's Integrity video as I am working on making the content I produce for my business more truthful and honest. The biggest gripe I have with most business influencers, thought leaders and marketers is their obvious lack of integrity, and a failure to practice what they preach.

I want to discuss business concepts from a spiral stage yellow or above perspective, however I often now find myself doubting whether what I have to say is accurate or true enough. I can confidently say that it is often of higher quality than a lot of what I see out there, but I want to create a criteria I can check it against to verify that what I say is free of bias and going to be effective for others.

I have written an integrity statement that outlines all the things I will or will not do when I talk publicly on business topics. I won't share that here, it's basically what Leo has said plus some personal values that I refuse to violate.

What I have so far is:

  • I have verified that what I want to say and talk about does not violate my integrity statement.
  • I have made a genuine attempt at communicating truthfully and fully, without obscurity.
  • I will wear on my sleeve why I create content and what it does for me.
  • I will not waste my audience's time with filler content.

@Leo Gura Do you have a criteria or set of values you review before speaking on a new topic, such that you feel qualified and can speak with authority?

Does anyone else here make content and do a similar exercise?

Use Claude AI to poke holes at your body of work. Submit the bulk of your work and ask it to find counterpoint or errors and you could even ask it to hold itself to the highest holistic systemic perspective.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?
