Got inspired by watching todays womens tenis of Vekić vs Kostyuk what an epic battle,to open a thread of epic moments from olympics.Today was crazy for swimming.Post what you find

@Princess Arabia Links are fine i can see the name of the video i liked that race too, i was rooting for hong kong since i paid for the program she used to prepare for 100m from her coach to die trying to complete 🤣.Interesting thing hong kong gives 750k for gold medal and 250k for bronze now she earned around 500k.Idk how much Sweden gets its individual.

Yeah I guess only links allowed. Your videos don't even play at all. On my Jamaica journal I'll try to post some jamaican events like track and field when the time comes. Hopefully it won't just be links. I just posted a random link just to test it out, so I'm not even familiar with her, but I like the track and field. Swimming and gymnastics.

@Princess Arabia I have my prefer channel to watch the highlights, then its best to specify what was great in the video, if its needed to mention so person can notice on its own video highlight.

This is actually an amazing example of what Leo has been talking about on the topic of genetic freaks.

The boxer who won, is actually not trans. She is a woman by birth (and passport) with a disorder of sex development, which causes her to have some masculine traits and higher levels of testosterone.

If you want to make an argument that she shouldn't be allowed to compete, you would also have to advocate for way stricter athlete classification rules in general.

For example, ban super tall people like Michael Jordan from basketball and ban Kenyan athletes from running. Or at least create a separate category for them.

Which is dumb because, as Leo said, all top athletes are basically genetics feaks in one way or another. That's the whole point! To show what humans capable of at their peak potential.

Also, testosterone levels and body strength in general is a scale. And people are only bothered by this because she is participating in a woman's category.

The same people would be totally fine with the same situation if she was a man, competing with other men. Like if she was Mike Tyson and simply had higher testosterone and superior body compared to other male boxers - nobody would bat an eye. People would actually put her on a pedestal for it.

I don't know, I think lots of sports are stupid in general. Imagine spending your whole youth building your body so you can lift a weight for 10 seconds in the Olympics.

For example, a competition about lifting things by your dicks could theoretically be a sport but that doesn't make it any less stupid.

I used to think this way, but after realizing that life is about feelings and we're all looking to feel a certain way, I understand why people play sports and why people cheer them on. The contents of life are different, but it's pretty much all the same. It's a feeling of accomplishment, achieving a goal, feeling successful, worthy, a sense of purpose and more. Now apply all that to anything that people do. Sports is just one of them also being a nurse, a student, a doctor or athlete. Contents different but they all are looking for a feeling. You'd think being a doctor is more worthwhile than being a professional athlete, but that doctor shares the same emotions as that athlete. Not everybody can be a doctor.

I am guilty of practicing a paragmatic approach when it comes to career and life purpose, so yeah you point is quite valid.

@LSD-Rumi Since you are not an athlete you dont see how much mental sport is, there is so much strategy,tactics,leadership skills every sports has alot of ascepts to it.You think lifting weights is dumb sport, those guys are really smart its not just the body its understanding of so many little things and yourself.

Also women watch soap series for drama,there is so much drama and passion involved in the play where all your sacreficed time is on the line.So when they say i dont understand football then answer is thats my soap series drama 😄...

When i participate and watch sports i watch physical part the last,since im looking in what way they solved that problem, how does he pairs againts this team, how will they crack the defens now when they thigtened it,its so much to it.Then when the play is made perfectly its beautiful to me like to someone when they see how painting is made for, listening to great musical piece where they can see how notes work together.
