Peter ralston thoughts on "toad juice" 5meo

Ralston shows amazing close-mindedness. Ralston is supposed to understand very well that enlightenment is something that is there, but is veiled by karmic obstacles, by the fact of being human. He carries out intense practices that aim to gradually relax these energy barriers until allowing a total opening.

What is the reason according to him for denying that the use of "toad juice" could be one of those practices? It's offensive and stupid, a clown. Most likely he has a superficial level of what he calls shamadi and given his narcissism he thinks that is the maximum, the same as many others.

make those comments without having tried it....clown. to say that he did LSD in his youth and that it does not promote real spiritual openness....clown. Like if I say that when I was 17 I went to a meditation retreat and it was very boring, therefore meditation is useless. It's frustrating to listen to clowns

@OBEler Yeah, but LSD doesn’t even compare to 5meo not even to DMT. LSD is kids play next to it. Ralston is just closed and somewhat arrogant. If he did LSD and is so sure of his truth, why not bother and give this new toy a shot?  

 He could easily invalidate it through explanation and it’s done, everyone gets clear. But no, something is off. Specially after hearing what Leo says about it.

Shinzen Young believes it is possible to construct devices that aid the process of enlightenment.  He is doing active scientific research collaborating with neuroscientists.  One approach he is looking at the use of ultrasound to modulate brain regions involved in meditation related states such as increased awareness or altered perception.  The technology might help facilitate specific brain states associated with deep meditation, making it easier for practitioners to enter and sustain those states. 

The path of enlightenment through meditation is already well known.  The problem is that for most people it takes too long.  The hope is that technology can be used to cut down the time to something reasonable.   

Shinzen’s view on 5-meo would be interesting, because Shinzen is very open minded.  According to chatgpt, he has discussed 5-meo, but I have not been able to verify that yet.

The reason why those gimmicks wont work as they totally misunderstand what is happening in the mind and conciousness, and the role of identity , suffering and free will.

You cant just shortcut your way to enlightenment, this would totally invalidate Karma. Karma is the pain of your actions from a seperated or egoic state. This pain/suffering will need to be repaid in full. Psychedelcis help expedite this; not as a shrotcut but via highly intense/difficutl experiences

That's not true imo, LSD in high doses is more challenging than 5meo

Yeah I find those comments wierd tbh, Ive had incredibly dark trips on weed after not smoking for ages and taking high doses. I didnt try 5meo yet, but will acquire some this month and report back.

@Breakingthewall @bambi Thats how psychedelics affect everyone different. For me LSD is fun stuff. It gives me intense energy surges and visuals. It’s not very hard for me because I my self am very intense so I know how to deal with intensity. My first lsd trip was in the peak of a mountain and I experienced samadhi, nothing surprising as I expected but was great. On the other hand, DMT is more insightful, serious and mystical for me.

For me LSD is the same you said, but I never tried high doses like 600 ug
