Your Most Powerful Motivation Techniques? Ultimate List

3 posts in this topic

Hey Guys,

I was hoping we can come up with an ultimate list of your most powerful motivation techniques. I think it's less about quantity and more about quality.

What has personally worked for you the most? What results did you have? How exactly do you apply the technique?

I truly believe one of the things that is stopping us from our goals, holding us back is our degree of hard work and motivation.

I am also hoping that we can have sort of "reports" on testing these techniques and report back with results. I will try to do the same.

I will share mine that has been working amazingly for me:

1. "The Eminem-Infuser Technique"

Still working on the name .. lol

But what I do is, 1 to 2 times a day, I first start listening to a few of Eminem's latest songs from the death of slim shady, followed by the classics Till I Collapse and Lose Yourself, ending with Godzilla.

I know this already sounds corny, but honestly fk it, if its corny, dont worry, pls share. I am willing to test your best techniques. I have been working 7 to 13 hour days lately. Now I don't say that to make you think this is the "right" thing to do. This is not about morals, nor health, nor other stuff. I am simply in a situation in my life right now where I don't have a choice. (Motivation technique 2)

But you don't need to be in painful situations like me to benefit from this fyi.

Anyways, the guy from Bobby Fisher, forgot his name, he would use Lose Yourself as a trigger to get in the right state. It's similar to techniques from NLP.

I heard it in theory years ago, but just some months ago I really made this a core part of my life. And for ex. today I was feeling shitty, in bed. And I was for sure thinking it won't work today. I put the headphones on (this is very important), and just went through the songs, closed my eyes, imagined me embodying his energy, beliefs, confidence, and that stuff really starts to rub into you. Suddenly your negative emotions go away, you get wired, focused, your up. Then Godzilla always makes my jaw drop because of his utter confidence, excellence in rap, the speed of his rap, etc. And I got out of the shitty state and I'm back on the flow.

2. Just being in a painful situation, a situation where you don't have much choice, reminding yourself of that, getting in touch with that

3. Just realizing how long you've been putting off your dreams, sort of being "done" with that.

I am interested in the best ones for you. No need to share them all, just the ones your most excited to share.

If we make an ultimate list, report back on results, I think we can all start to have this compound effect, network effect in this thread.

I know this form is a lot about philosophy and all that. I love that too myself. But I truly feel many of us need just much more action in our lives. I've noticed how much philosophy takes me away from my goals that need intense focus and action on. A bit of philosophy does help actually, but too much and I'm all over the place. If you're like me and you need more focus in your life, let's focus on more action (on the right things of course).

I am motivated by visualization.

I am motivated by the idea that I don't want an average life.

I want to work for social causes close to my heart. I want people to see me as a Messiah.

I am motivated by music, beauty, love, values, etc.

I am motivated when I see unlimited possibilities and potential in this world and in my mind. There are so many great things to do.

I am motivated by my tools, weapons, gifts, treasures, etc. Like Subconscious Mind.

I am motivated by powerful self help concepts like keeping your commitments, awareness alone is curative, pushing your limits, focusing on what matters the most, etc.

I am motivated by the desire to achieve mastery in something.

I am motivated by the statement, "You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want." by Zig Ziglar.

I am motivated by my emotions. I am emotional when I see other people's suffering.

I am motivated by MMA fighters. Especially Khabib Nurmagomedov. Because he is not a normal MMA fighter.

And many more things are there to motivate me.
