What is my world view ? How do I answer such questions for myself if I don't know

5 posts in this topic

Hello,

I am creating a phase called "Discover Your Worldview" and have included some activities such as:

Giving myself silence and space to become conscious of my true desires, emotions, and beliefs.

Engaging in self-reflection using Leo's questions from "The Power of Questions" episode and other related episodes.

Working on defining my life purpose.

My mission is to develop my Frame externally and internally, and also to self-actualize and experience self-transcendence. I believe that prioritizing the development of my Frame will help me address deficiency realm needs, making it easier to satisfy them.

I have two questions:

What is a worldview?

As English is my third language, I want to ensure I understand this concept correctly. Is a worldview how I perceive the world? Should I create subcategories to answer questions that include my biases, likes, and dislikes? What if I'm unsure of my worldview?

How can I balance this conceptual internal investigation with extroverted goals?

How do I align my internal reflection and understanding of my worldview with practical goals that help me survive, get a job, and achieve visible outcomes?

@Past-Philosopher-562 you already have some kind of world view, a collective of opinions, outlooks, interpretations , understanding, values, rules you live by etc, some of that view will change as you learn more about the world, some may not , everyone is different. What I would like to say is that you have a choice , always, and you have a choice to change your world view at any time. If what you are looking for is a particular philosophy, way of life, religion , a system with certain rules already integrated in to it, you can choose that too and do your best to stick to it, although I prefer to shift between different world views depending on what is useful to me at the time. World view will be ever changing.

''How do I align my internal reflection and understanding of my worldview with practical goals that help me survive, get a job, and achieve visible outcomes?''

You do what you need to do when you need to do it integrating your values in to everyday life. Do practical things practically as and when it's required. Knowledge is just information without putting it in to practise, you can listen to loads of gurus , read loads of book , if you don't try it for yourself , its just words carried by the wind. I like to experiment with whatever new I hear or read by simply trying it out without questioning , if something sounds interesting I'll try it for myself before I make any opinions on it and this gives me a choice of wether or not thats effective for me, if not I try another thing.

A spider builds its web , web gets destroyed , spider doesn't cry about it , just move elsewhere and builds another web, try a new place without crying about what has happened to his old one. You could be like a spider and if something doesn't work for you just try something else. :)

I respect your curiosity and determination for understanding but I feel you have a tendency to overcomplicate , over-intellectualize and get stuck on certain ideas

I feel chatGPT would be ideal for someone like in your position. You can ask all these questions to it directly and ask it for clarifications and translations in real time

It would be very good for gaining clarity.

I feel that putting effort into learning how to effectively use chatGPT for contemplation would be the best use of your time

Just my 2 cents

Well you could ask AI to help you discover it. The AI will ask you questions and help you explore the worldview your unaware of. Based on your responses it will be able to narrow down and discover it within you, like an explorer exploring a new land.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?
