Life is war . Nobody is selfless, almost everything that lives, kills. That's how the game is designed. Then, it's normal the volume of shit that humans create. Humans are the ultimate predators, created to dominate nature, for total evolution. Our basis is the fight to death between the species that come from millions of years.

Yep. Not saying there is anything wrong with it. And honestly I’d rather be alive. It’s totally natural.

But if we wanted to the best thing for the planet and suffering of beings, we’d just end it now

You don't experience anything in life that you did not desire for.

Manifestation is not a teaching or technique or a philosophy. It's a fundamental principle of existence and of who you are as a Creator.

So you think people with debilitating disease or born in war zones and tortured gladly came in this experience to live through it? Doubt it.

If love was your only desire, love would be your only reality. Not disease, not famine, not suffering, not war and conflict. Theirin lies people's unconscious manifestation of their own hell they create. Because they desire for million other things over God and so their prayers are being answered. Because you're free to create whatever you want. You're free to be free and you're free to be bound.

There is not a single physical thing that doesn’t have a spiritual side to it also. Poverty is a spiritual disease. Misfortune is a spiritual disease, miscarriage is a spiritual disease, loneliness is a spiritual disease, the list goes on forever.

The thing that defiles the spirit are false idols. In other words it is to value wrongly. And what you value is what you will attract. Unconsciously of course. Thus is the Law. Thus is the reality we live in.

Skimmed though the replies, and it's fascinating how people see/experience the world. It's quite amusing what ideas, perspectives and claims people can come up with. I think it's dangerous and harmful to think and proclaim "the world / humans have been like this in the past, hence they are like this now, hence they will be like that in the future".

I am NOT claiming to know WTF this is. But the way I see it is the following:

  • If I can't know, I at least can make assumptions
  • Whatever assumptions I make directly influence my experience in literally every action/interaction every day
  • These assumptions can be healthy for me or unhealthy (re state of mind, self-worth, happiness, quality of experience etc...you get me)
  • These assumptions can be fun or no fun
  • I can adjust these assumptions if there is new/better information
  • I am lucky enough to live in a country where I can make assumptions that allow a life in dignity and full of opportunities (no war, no tyranny but health system, individual freedom, human rights etc.)
  • For now, I just assume for instance
    • That I want to be here / I choose to be here
    • That I have some responsibility towards me and others  (u might call it "working through my karma")
    • That "life, God, Universe, other entities" whatever u call it supports me in my experience

Some time ago, someone in this forum mentioned C Lilly. I love this quote of him:

"In the province of the mind, what one believes to be true, either is true or becomes true within certain limits. These limits are to be found experientially and experimentally. When the limits are determined, it is found that they are further beliefs to be transcended. In the province of the mind, there are no limits."

I also recommend the talk of Alan Watts "the human game". Not saying this is "truth" but I like this way of seeing the world.

On the flip side, I'm pretty confident he does have authentic and considerable skill in consciousness.

I don't think that "skill" applies to consciousness, but I get your point.

I can see why you might get that impression but I’d recommend not making those assumptions unless you’ve deeply studied his work. Wilber is the real deal. He speaks in depth of the Unborn and Undying Tao and in a manner that is undeniable that he grasps it

Fair point, as I haven't studied his work deeply.

Discerning between authentic individuals and charlatans is tricky. What are they about, and where are they coming from? This should remove many candidates. That is why I said "philosophy" in the conventional sense (intellectualizing, mostly) might be a more apt term to describe what he's up to, based on the sense I got from paying attention to his experience.

With some effort (lying), you can get convinced that someone is awake and "knows" more than they do in actuality.

When it comes to consciousness, "pure" or untainted by intellect, comes to mind, much like the spirit of Zen.
