I agree with Lichtman that if Biden's dropping out, he should also resign the presidency for health reasons, giving Kamala the incumbency. Then work like hell to unite the party behind her.

Finally, it was an open secret at this point. There could not be trust in his capabilities, that was the crude reality. Now the difficult part starts, we'll see what Democrats put out. An open convention would divide, and there's not enough time. Kamala is the vice-president, if she is willing, this could be it.
