J.D. Vance (Trump's Vice President) 'doesn't care' what happens to Ukraine

“I don’t really care what happens to Ukraine one way or the other,” Senator Vance has said.

"I gotta be honest with you, I don't really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another," Vance said on an episode of Steve Bannon's War Room. "I do care about the fact that in my community right now the leading cause of death among 18-45-year-olds is Mexican fentanyl that's coming across the southern border."

"I'm sick of Joe Biden focusing on the border of a country I don't care about while he lets the border of his own country become a total war zone," Vance said.

Why?

Ukraine wants to join the European Union and soon NATO. Why not make NATO a larger alliance? Why not be glad that Ukraine wants to be in NATO? Or a Democrat nation.

That is what I don't like about Trump's team — they want to isolate America. They don't understand how fundamental healthy globalism is. We're not talking about George Soros or Klaus Schwab. We're talking about international trade and security.

How can we stop Trump?

Yes, because Ukraine wanting to get closer to NATO wasn't why Putin started the war 🙄.

Do you really want a direct war between Russia and the US? That sounds like a very healthy globalism /s

Ukraine is not Russia. Ukraine is an independent country with the right to create its destiny.

If Ukraine wants to join NATO, so be it.

If Ukraine wants to be in the European Union, so be it.

Who does Putin think he is to impose limitations on a country?

Putin is a well-known killer.

Do some research on the topic.

NATO expansion into Ukraine has always been a red line for Russia.

Russia is not in a position to draw red lines for any country. Russia is well-known for murdering its journalists. You don't have free speech in Russia. You don't have Absolute human rights in Russia. Putin has turned Russia into a pariah state.

You have no idea how many people died in Ukraine. Putin is evil. We all know that. Shouldn't we stop pretending that Russia is an okay nation? Because we know Russia can't be great as long as Putin is in power.

I live in Romania. Romanians know the wrath of communism. We suffered a lot.

Horrific how many people have died. Too sad.

Even Leo has said on here recently, that Ukraine is corrupt.

President Biden talks of the world being divided into autocracies and democracies. But a more important division exists: between kleptocracies, where leaders treat their nations like personal piggy banks, and places where corruption is the exception rather than the rule.

Since 2014, Ukrainians have been fighting to drag their country into that second category. The Maidan revolution, which sent a pro-Russian president packing, wasn’t just about freeing Ukraine from Russian influence. It was also about breaking the stranglehold of oligarchs who — as in so many former Soviet republics — controlled everything from television stations to the politicians on ballots. The fight against corruption amounts to a second front in Ukraine’s war against Russia.

Ukraine is making progress, no small feat in the middle of a hot war. But it is still ranked the second most corrupt country in Europe, after Russia, according to Transparency International.Since the February 2022 Russian invasion, a host of characters — from arms dealers to suppliers of soldiers’ meals — has stood to reap big profits, creating vested interests in prolonging the conflict.

Corruption has been the elephant in the room since the invasion — an unpopular subject in Washington, since it risks undermining the American support that Ukraine desperately needs

Corruption exists everywhere because human nature is problematic. The ego is a trickster — making people believe in power, materialism, and thrills.

No perfect country exists.

Ukraine has the right to join NATO and the European Union. They have the right to a prosperous, democratic future. Putin doesn't have the right to take that away from Ukraine.

As Europeans, we did lots of things for Ukraine. We'll have to arm ourselves if the USA isolates itself. Security is paramount.

Germany pledges to make its military 'the backbone of defence in Europe'

Quote

BERLIN, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Germany will strengthen its military to make it the backbone of deterrence and collective defence in Europe, its defence minister pledged on Thursday as Berlin issued new defence policy guidelines for the first time in over a decade.

Ukraine have lost the war. Putin will probably take the whole country now, not just the Russian speaking sections he wanted initially.

There is a Western radio channel on YouTube. You can see the latest updates on the Russia-Ukraine war. The truth is that Russia is losing the war, and that's a great thing. More than half of Russia's Black Sea Fleet has been destroyed by Ukraine.

Ukraine has devastated Russia's Black Sea Fleet without even having a real navy. These are the Russian warships Ukraine has taken out.

Since Moscow launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the Ukrainians have destroyed or damaged roughly half of the Russian fleet's warships, including one submarine, per publicly available information.

Saying he doesn't care is an awful approach, if you ask me. However, Western intervention has only made things worse for Ukraine, so if for real him and Trump pull out, that's the best that could happen. Sit down and sing for peace terms, what a crazy idea these days!

The war was unnecessary, it could have been prevented with diplomacy, and good-faith negotiations. NATO pushed Ukraine to fight, with a president who was willing to do all they said. To some extent, if they believed that Russia would collapse with a blockade, wouldn't be able to sustain the war, and they thought Ukraine would win, I can understand the initial warmongering position. Behind that there was the military industry salivating, what better than a proxy war where people of another country do the dying part, instead of your own. But time has shown Russia is capable of winning the war as an invader, or rescuer depends how you look at it, and has already annexed four territories in the East, the ones with the most Russian-friendly citizens, although in the beginning, it was only two in dispute. The counteroffensive of Ukraine was a total failure, they won't be able to win anything back. Their men are being literally kidnapped by Azov to be sent to the front to an almost certain death. Slowly but steadily, Russia keeps gaining more and more land. Now it's insane NATO keeps pushing a war they can't win, and will only cause more unnecessary deaths on both sides and Ukraine to lose even more territories.

How the US intervention turned Ukraine into a rump state should be studied for the next 100 years.

Global powers don’t accept a country on their border forming an alliance to a country they view as hostile. It’s the same reason China invaded Korea when the US moved into the north.

The US doesn’t even accept it for countries overseas.

That tracks, since JD Vance is a grifter who doesn't particularly care about what happens to America (he went from calling Trump 'America's Hitler' to running as his VP, afterall). So why would he give two shits about what happens to Ukraine?
