Posting this here, since I am becoming more aware of the need to have clarity in communication. Most of what we are facing in the Social world today is due the the use or misuse of comunication, the use of Sophistry, Subversion and Covert.

Let at least us be aware of it in our daily lifes and in our online life.

Lets be the difference.

   Agreed. Nice video share!

@Leo Gura why are you not impressed about this miracle (positive or negative).

Let politics behind for a moment. Almost paranormal what happened.

I agree too, very paranormal and supernatural, like it was just out by a centimeter. What are the odds of that? You have better luck winning the lottery than just happening to turn your head in the right direction, rotation. IMHO that is amazingly rare to happen!

You are wasting your time. That person definitely  haven't read anything on these topics and he is utterly clueless but he is running around   preaching how everything is relative or that there is nothing serious going on.

Complete lack of epistemic humility, completely being ignorant of the facts, while being in preacher mode while thinking they are highly conscious .

The worst person to waste any time on.

Come on! Even if I have disagreements with @Gennadiy1981 with some topics, straight out calling him the worst person, utterly useless, clueless, and a preacher are all character assassination attempts which is fallacious. At least have a back and forth a few times with that person and hash out his reasonings before calling him all that, or don't call him all that because that's insulting and name calling which is against forum guidelines. You have been here like me years in this forum, please show some decorum and restraint at least.

@Leo Gura But Leo, not too long ago you said something like, 'Trump will lose badly again,' and now you actually see a chance for him to win? Why the switch?

Leo, myself, and others who are sounding the alarm bells about Project 2025 and a second Trump presidency are treating current events with a level of seriousness that's completely appropriate, given the situation.

America is on the cusp of losing its democracy, with the potential to backslide into the type of authoritarian regime that people have historically immigrated to the United States to escape.

Stop treating this as an abstraction. It's happening, it's real, and it will ruin many lives if it comes to fruition.

Ok, let me take @Gennadiy1981 out of context, and let me reframe what he was trying to say without all the charged language as best I can. OK, say Trump and that Project 2025 is bad, and probability is likely he may enact project 2025, probability being like 80-60% likely. That still leaves about 50,40,30,20,10 and even 5% probability Trump may not decide and enforce project 2025, and him distancing himself from what the Evangelical Nationalists were saying is proof there's some probability he may not enact that project, so what @Gennadiy1981 was trying to say to you, as you're American in USA right? He's saying like what if you might be wrong, and what if you're deep in this cultural zeitgeist right? Like with the 9/11 attack and most Americans unanimously wanting revenge on Iraq, when it was another terrorist group that did it right? He was basically trying to ask and warn that maybe you're charged up by fear mongering, propaganda, from the media, which is effecting your critical thinking. You see what I mean right?

And to be clear, IMHO Trump is dangerous and that project is and hopefully Biden might win again in the election, but what @Gennadiy1981 was saying is if you look at all the fear mongering tactics, propaganda tactics and all that...In his view, all that is more dangerous than Trump and Project 2025 in his opinion. What will your answer be to him?

Steve Schmidt is an interesting character. I like him.

If truth is the guide, there's no need for ideology, right or left.

Maturity in discussion means the ability to separate ideas from identity so one can easily recognize new, irrefutable information as valid, and to fully integrate it into one’s perspective—even if it challenges deeply held beliefs. Both recognition and integration are crucial: the former acknowledges truth, while the latter ensures we are guided by it.

1) You are generally 10x more unhinged than me especially if we take a look at the I/P thread or any Destiny thread,  so stop with the tone policing. Im good buddy. You are the last person who could go around calling people out for their tones.

2) No its not against the forum guidelines to call someone utterly clueless or a waste of time. There are plenty of links in this thread that anyone who wants to approach this topic without empty preaching can go and read, and mutliple arguments have already been made why democracy and Trump don't go together.

You were clueless as well btw, because Leo had to educate you on basic facts that you should have known a long time ago, before you started to go around arguing with people. Neither of you have the basic knowledge to have the ability to argue on this topic (because you lack the basic facts), what you do is fish around for answers and then attack them without actually getting read up on the topics first.

Well, if I am wrong, then it's business as usual and nothing im actually advocating for is harmful. Which is for more mindful, compassionate, and above all informed participation in the democratic process.Taking a disinterested or detached view of politics when our democracy is rotting from within due to apathy and neglect is none of those things.

It's the equivalent of a crowd of people standing by and watching as someone gets assaulted on a crowded street, due to the bystander effect.

If anything, I'm challenging people to take on more personal responsibility for the collective problems that we're facing.

I thought the same because Biden was an incumbent. But Cenk Uyghur was right, incumbency is almost a disadvantage today.

Theodore Roosevelt survived an assassination attempt. He was shot in the chest with a .38-caliber revolver. He was saved by his steel eyeglass case and a thick, folded copy of the speech he was about to deliver, which absorbed much of the bullet's impact.

Roosevelt delivered his 90-minute speech before seeking medical attention. He showed the audience his bloody shirt and said, "It takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose." Roosevelt was taken to a hospital after the speech, and the bullet remained lodged in his chest for the rest of his life, as removing it was deemed too risky.

The switch is because of this shooting.

This alone makes him look like invincible. Everyone can see that surviving such an attack with style can generate new voters who were before indecisive.

Why is danioover not banned or at least warned for these behaviors?

  • They constantly argue for argument sake
  • It's clear they don't engage in good faith
  • Their rhetoric verges on combative by saying things like "I'm not gonna hurt you, don't run", at the end of unhinged, incoherent rants.
  • They are juvenile, comparing their post count to others as a metric to demonstrate their superiority
  • And lots more.

Maybe there are circumstances about this character I'm not aware of that makes it best they don't be banned, but if not, it seems at the least, a warning should be in order.

1. Really? 10x more unhinged? Not 9 or 11x? Also what Destiny or I/P thread? Maybe link and show my apparent 'unhinge' thing you're talking about, or don't because that would derail the thread.

2. What was @Gennadiy1981 arguing for exactly? Are you sure he was arguing for Trump becoming president and him mixing with democracy, or was he 'preaching' for others to chill down, take note of the propaganda, the charged political atmosphere, the fear mongering from his view? Like @Gennadiy1981 , what were you trying to say here?

3. OK, I'll take that I'm a clueless idiot, sure, like the MAGA and 40% of American conservatives which you're insinuating BTW right? Which is why I'm still waiting to be educated and enlightened to my own ignorance here, apparently 'fishing'...WDYM?🤦‍♀️

Fair enough, my take was I thought he was pointing out the increasing negative emotions in this situation with the fear mongering and the media, but OK.

Communication and tact are highly important but the very ignorance that allows for the corruption in the first place, seems to me, of higher importance. As long as the average person doesn't understand basic psychological principles and does nothing to acquire any knowledge of the psyche and the traps it can so easily fall into, it's impossible for them to guard themselves against these "evil factions" that seek to pull their puppet strings.

Also, it seems that no amount of good or tactful communication can penetrate some psyches.

Maybe we need not only tactful communication, but extreme patience, along with making sure we know what we're talking about. But that is a lot of work. How much of ourselves should we sacrifice trying to contribute to the fixing of our world? I want to answer 100% but it's not that simple.

I got what you mean. To expect everyone to be experts in the dwelings of their own minds and how deception work is a gigantic task. If the majority would be doing the work we would not have the sort of leaders we have since people would see througth the manipulation. But is to much work. Even shifting some inner paradoxes inside my mind alone is like a inner war, wars that many time I almost lose.

Disagreements about polarized topics are almost always hopeless. You see it out in the real world but you see plenty of it on this forum as well.

I just saw the director of Secret Service use the excuse that the roof that the gunman shot from wasn't occupied buy Secret Service or police because it was a sloped roof therefore it was a safety issue.

A 2 year old could stand on that roof, the slope was minimal. That was weird for her to say that. 😳
