What are society's low consciousness behaviors?

@enchanted Loads of things

One of the biggest is capitalist exploitation of children and I’m not even talking about extreme cases because they’re obvious. Fast food companies for instance selling utter trash to our children and marketing it like it’s fucking healthy. It’s quite disgusting actually

Same goes for energy drinks, vapes, aggressive casino games etc. all marketed deliberately to children

Great thread. :)

I would say emotional instability is a marker of low consciousness behaviors. Mental equanimity and calmness has been emphasized in most religious philosophies for ensuring a higher state of consciousness.

Emotional and mental agitation tends to move in the direction of emotivity, negativity and reactivity fostering disharmony and conflict.

Your mindfulness will only be as robust as the capacity of your mind to be calm and stable. Without calmness, the mirror of mindfulness will have an agitated and choppy surface and will not be able to reflect things with any accuracy. - Jon Kabat-Zinn
