Looks so sick, are photorealistic games the future of shooters?

But although the trailer looks sick I'm not gonna buy it yet.

The new game Bodycam has received a mix of praise and criticism. Here are some of the main points from various reviews:

Realism and Visuals: The game is noted for its ultra-realistic graphics and immersive bodycam perspective, which creates a tense and unsettling atmosphere. It aims to replicate the look and feel of real-life bodycam footage, making it stand out visually among other FPS games (gamer.org) (pcgamer) (PCGamesN).

Gameplay: While the visuals are impressive, the gameplay has been described as simplistic and somewhat unrefined. Issues with sluggish gun controls, basic maps, and straightforward objectives have been noted. Some players find the aiming mechanics awkward and the gunplay lacking in depth (gamer.org) (PCGamesN) (Try Hard Guides).

Technical Issues: As an early access title, Bodycam has faced several technical problems, including server disconnects, glitchy animations, and matchmaking issues. Players have also reported bugs and a confusing menu system, which can hinder the overall experience (gamer.org) (PCGamesN) (Try Hard Guides).

Player Reception: Despite the mixed reviews, the game has garnered a significant player base, indicating strong initial interest. However, many players have expressed frustration with the game's current state, citing it feels more like a tech demo than a fully fleshed-out game (PCGamesN) (Try Hard Guides).

Future Potential: There's potential for improvement as the developers continue to work on the game. Planned updates include bug fixes, additional maps, and new game modes, which could enhance the overall experience and address some of the current shortcomings (Try Hard Guides).

Overall, Bodycam shows promise with its unique approach and high-quality visuals, but it currently requires more polish and content to fully meet player expectations. If you're intrigued by its realism and can overlook some early access issues, it might be worth checking out. Otherwise, waiting for further updates could be a better option.

Just hope to see more photorealistic games in the future without the supposedly poor gameplay.
