I want to document my journey.Ā
I was born and raised in Syria and moved to the US when I was 16.Ā
Iā€™ve grown so much and learned a lot in the past 9 years.

Leoā€™s life purpose course hasĀ been very helpful along with the booklist.Ā
Iā€™m using my 20s to build skills and install good coping habitsĀ

The Syrian revolution has had a lot of impact on my life.Ā
The Syrian revolution started in 2011. The west calls it a civil war but it was actually a revolution against the tyrants of Syria.Ā
The revolution instilled a lot of values in me like honoring truth, freedom, love and equity.Ā

Yeah my parentsĀ are still in there unfortunately. I want to make enough money to get them out.
I canā€™t go back because itā€™s too dangerous for people my age but I want to get old there hopefully. Syria is actually a very diverse country both culturally and geographically.Ā

Damn dude I had no idea it was still dangerous there as you don't hear about it in the news anymore. What's going on there now then? Same thing as before?

Yeah nothing really changed since the dictatorĀ Ā is still ruling with an iron fist much like North KoreaĀ

I got a new job offer for a new stepping stone job and Iā€™m really happy. Iā€™m currently working overnight shifts and the lack of sleep is getting to me.Ā

Very greatful for this journal and forum. Iā€™m building the habit of using this journal instead of Instagram because I tend to waste a lot of time on thereĀ

I was born and raised there and then left in 2015. I donā€™t plan to go back until the dictator is gone just like thousands of Syrians are waiting too. I miss it everyday. Syria lives in my heartšŸ¤

Where are you from if you donā€™t mind me asking?Ā
