Awakenings

Kundalini has changed a lot for me. Since awakening years ago, I went through a kind of psychosis phase where I lost a bit of touch with reality. I took medicine for it; it got better. I realized what was happening to me. Somehow, my past was trying to be realized within me. I took the path too seriously, got lost in thoughts of aliens and existential philosophy, and ended up drowning in my self-pity and hatred toward family.

Fast-forward, I went deeper without trying to. No mew, I'm remembering old memories and feelings I had previously forgotten—things from my childhood that I would've never remembered and those feelings of being a child again. It's like I remember them like it's happening now. I think is happening because I realized what was happening and how to deal with my thoughts. I am also spending no time on things that make no sense and solely focusing on my own past and who I am.

When I go to work or study, I feel like I can do those things just fine. When I'm alone, I focus inward and realize more and more. I'm willing to understand who I am and what's happened because none of it makes sense. I've been through some things, so it seems dangerous because facing those feelings is one of the most difficult things. Luckily, I'm still living at home and can talk about my experiences and memories that I'm thinking about. He doesn't know about Kundalini, though.

I can feel the energy pulsating through my root chakra upward. Everything's changing. I'm understanding how I developed and the mistakes I made, which are helping me grow and develop. Spirituality is no longer about contemplating nonduality or existential things but about realizing who I am and asking bigger questions, like what happened when I was younger, since it seems like many things happened that I didn't understand.

I always enjoy reading about others process of growth. Those processes are so vastly different to each of us and it fascinates me. I am also happy to hear that you discovering parts of yourself you have forgotten about. Everyones process of discovery and experiencing will be different.

I am not sure exactly what the word 'AWAKENING' means to you, if you could give me your definition of it, it would be helpful to understand you better.

If you are referring to road to self mastery I have a word on that:

When I  speak of self-mastery, I am using using mastery in its sense of having the ability to apply expert skill and knowledge. With respect to the self, this means having the knowledge and skill to properly direct the tremendous energies and talents of the self. It must of necessity include an understanding of yourself as a functioning entity in relation to the rest of the universe. This is self-mastery of the highest type: Knowing what you are, who you are, why you are, and where you are going; and also knowing how to get there.

The realization that this is God’s Mind.

That all dualities are imaginary.

This goes on for INFINITY.

That there is no end or beginning as this is all One

I AM itching for the truth

I don't have an exact definition for it. I've had awakening experiences throughout many years now and I've noticed it never goes away. When I was into it many years ago, I learned a lot about awakening and meditation. Now, I remember all the knowledge and I am realizing what those things mean on a deeper level. For the 'conceptual' self of the I, or myself, I feel like I required myself to remember when I learned the concept 'I' and I did. This proves to me that it was a concept I learned and there was a before when I had no knowledge of the concept of I.

It's evolved. The way I think and process information is different than it used to be.

Awakening is broad. Generally, mystics have a broad sense and understanding of themselves, the world and philosophy. To be one, I feel like I need to be very cognizant of many things and not just one. It's also important to develop independent thoughts.

My definition of awakening would include both the understanding of the ego self and the transcendental self.

I agree.

It seems as if the 'true self' some groups talk about becoming when they awaken, is the truth of what happens. There is how I think, when I learned to think that way, and the response I had when I learned that. The response I had is the truth, but I agreed to do something different.

I think so too and I agree. Theres always another way to do something and all of the ways can lead to similar results, Being open to all possibilities gives us an option to choose , and having a choice broadens our perspective.

@DreamScape  Thank you for clarifying your point of view, I understand what you meant now. I think the process of discovery itself is one of the most amazing things we do here on earth. The adventure of uncovering more and more of ourselves. I personally am not that bothered wether it will lead to awakening or not, it is leading me to understand myself and people, animals.... all nature around me more and more and thats the adventure I want to have :)  Many years ago I chased the truth and discovered it is really different for each of us, but thats ok , thats what makes this interesting and if I can just learn to shift between those 'truths'', that I have a choice in which one I want to use based on its effectiveness  and that everything is pretty much equally real, equally true and equally made up I can lead a pretty harmonised life here, and I love living. :)

That's an interesting perspective, I was referring to the authors of this post understanding, which is another perspective. Very interesting.
