What happens when there is constant attention on the self? you start to dissolve. That's what happened to me. I gradually dissolved. And in November 2023, I ended up almost headless.

Being self centered, ego centric does not make you dissolve. Quite the opposite, it perpetuates the illusion.

To be love centered, to be awareness centered, to be centered on helping others makes ego dissolve.

i didn't mean full dissolution, I meant almost full, and between those is an infinite difference

I bet it was like 1% dissolution compared to what Buddhists go through. And they are fine without any of the simptoms you discribe :D

im not the only one who speaks of attention on the self, I think ive heard Rupert spira talk about it too.

yes it perpetrates the illusion, but it makes you dissolve to *almost* zero like it happened to me. The neurological mechanism of self-attention does that in my direct experience

i understand what doesn't fit into an existing paradigm and can be quite confusing but it is based in my direct experience

To discover that OTHERS are YOU! And explore that FOREVER!

I am mentally ill, and that rocks! I love when a Buddhist sits on me ;)

Due to all the dissolution I went through, there was a kind of disconnect in my brain/self.

I mean I picked up on that feeling of emptyness inside you before. That dissociation. It could a lost soul/trapped soul phenomena. Where because of some traumas or pain a soul dissociates from the body in order to avoid the pain and then doesn't return fully.

Did you experience anything traumatic before these simptoms appeared?

There could be more than one explanation to it. I'm telling you, unless you're the next Ramana Maharshi, it's not the ego dissolution at play.

Rupert is talking on attention on the Self. With the capital S. That means to focus on beyond the ego.

If you want to feel connected to the self. Connect to your heart. When you connect to your heart you won't feel flat or empty. You will feel full, complete, all pervasive etc. And it will organize and harmonize your brain activity aswell

Does dancing help to feel connected to the self? Because by dancing you can connect with your heart. It's really good.

Up to 3/4 sleepless nights per week for more than a year,

I would imagine if you had to drive a car overnight, you'd probably have no issues falling asleep. You'd probably feel drowsy like everyone else.

If the above is true, it should give you an insight into the nature of your problem. My guess would be an overstimulated mind.

Yes, because of high cortisol or something like that.

My mind tend tends to gravitate towards stressful objects.
