Chewing gum contains plastic

So you get microplastics in your system. Is this something to be concerned about? I chew a lot of gum and I just learned this.

There is a wide variety of plastic free gum available.

In addition to plastic I would be concerned with other side effects chewing might have. Why not try to go chewing-free?
