Is Dark Chocolate Net Positive? (Heavy Metals)

31 posts in this topic

Would you say dark chocolate is a Net Positive?

Or does the heavy metal contamination make this a no-go?

Even if:

- You bought the cleanest brand possible

- You ate it in moderation

Is it worth it?

I notice a niggly voice within my mind says "but what about heavy metals" (lead and cadmium)

What are your thoughts?

It could only be a positive if you count the taste into your calculus.

This is my favorite brand dark chocolate. I don't think it's on the list with heavy metals. Lindt and Ghirardelli are though. Go for it. Don't nick pick at everything, the nit picking will bring more stress with it than the heavy metals. Flush with Cilantro juice.

Is it acceptable for you in your world? @Leo Gura

I love the taste of dark chocolate so it is acceptable within reason and assuming you will be doing heavy metal detox throughout your life.

An informative source on heavy metals in chocolate: https://www.consumerreports.org/health/food-safety/lead-and-cadmium-in-dark-chocolate-a8480295550/

Also, from the controversial Bryan Johnson protocol:

Quote

WHAT IS HEALTHY CHOCOLATE? (what i use)

LEVEL 1: Chocolate is good for you. A snickers bar isn’t that bad!

LEVEL 2: Any brand advertising “dark chocolate”

LEVEL 3: Un-dutched dark chocolate

LEVEL 4: Un-dutched dark chocolate, tested for heavy metals

LEVEL 5: Un-dutched dark chocolate, tested for heavy metals and from specific regions of the world with the highest polyphenol density

I think chocolate it is a net positive, if controlled for heavy metals, given the antioxidants. I try to eat fermented, unroasted cocoa nibs which I think is the closest to its natural form.

How is this post just me acting out my ego in the usual ways? Is this post just me venting and justifying my selfishness? Are the things you are posting in alignment with principles of higher consciousness and higher stages of ego development? Are you acting in a mature or immature way? Are you being selfish or selfless in your communication? Are you acting like a monkey or like a God-like being?

Not worth it unless heavy metals are tested IMO, otherwise it is very nutritious.
