What is nostalgia?

Why is it that the past always seems to be enshrouded in some oddly familiar cloud of loving familiarity?

I noticed it doesnt even really matter whether the past was negative or positive, the nostalgia element is always there, and its always the same "feeling". I distinctly remember times in my life where everything SUCKED, but now that i look back at it, even that also has this weird familiar cloud of loving nostalgia engulfing it. my past is all engulfed in the shrouded love of nostalgia

it is one of the deepest forms of love in my experience, and yet i have never experienced it directly, only as an attachement to a memory

what is nostalgia? nostalgia feels like home. is nostalgia our seperation and distancing from god? its like we're always right behind it, or its always a bit a head of us, it always only appears in our memories and past, never in the Now.

It certainly seems like nostalgia is closing in on me, as i progress spiritually. its getting closer to the Now. i want to experience nostalgia in the Now, and i have a deep sense that this is possible, and that experiencing nostalgia in the Now will be a unification with God

this just came to me and i wanted to share
