Idk why I'm fascinated by Islam

Recently I’ve been reading into Islam (i made a post  a while ago saying i want to become a muslim)

Up to now..i don’t believe in one strict religion . mostly just bits and pieces of all the existing religions like hinduism..Christianity etc

So...with Islam being a major religion i decided to do more research into it to become more clear about which spiritual or mystical tradition that is actually more accurate.

Though I do not identify as Muslim yet ..I find some Islamic practices like the prayer and the Qur’an being recited in Arabic is very beautiful.  Its interesting and I think it would be nice to practice them. However..i’m not sure if it’s appropriate to do this or to nit-pick and choose which parts I want to follow versus the parts I want to leave out. Islamic terrorism is a  thing 😂.

I have been raised in a hundu household. Although I didn't believe in the hindu gods even for a second because hinduism literally believes in THOUSANDS  of different deities. Basically there Is a god for every thing . Raining and thunder  has its own god .sex has its own god . Good has its own god ...evil has its own god etc

Although of course there is in hinduism  an overarching belief that there is a singular higher power or god that dominates all other sub-gods ..they call it Brahman.

The thing is ..to be honest ..im not God-realized..nor awake etc . Because i still feel i need  to pray or worship a diety that is outside of myself . (So if I were to pray in the techniques of Islam.. I would pray to Allah).

Now ..why Islam?

Because its the only religion that makes logical sense . There is only one god ..who created everything..he is eternal and immortal..he is all powerfull. All-good ..all-wise etc

You might object :but that's also in Christian religion...

Well..Christianity's trinity of father +son +holy ghost doesn't add up in my mind . So Islam is the only religion in the world today which believes in monotheism.

I understand that  God is infinite and can't be locked or pinned on a nail or boxed in a single religion..but I feel huge spiritual call to become a muslim .to visit Saudi Arabia and go to mecca . I've already started praying the five prayers a day (even the one which is during sleep time around 3 AM). And man ..I've never felt  this degree of spiritual ecstasy before..Islamic prayer just hooked the shit out of me . When you bow down and your head touches the floor and you pray to god its magical moment.  Also ..do yourself a favour and listen to Qur’an being recited In Arabic..it's more poetic and musical than any song you can ever hear .

So thats all . I'm on my way to become a muslim.  I welcome any questions..feedbacks..advices ..etc.

@Someone here Islam is the "dark side" religion in my mind.

The star wars Sith if you will.

The trinity doesn't add up? Then you wonder why the truth is not "One", but "Not two".

The holy trinity are one! But its paradoxical.

Islam to me is plagiarizing of Christianity and adding bits and bops from the human male ego to create paradise on Earth for the male.

As a point against Alla,  he is omniscient, so when he created you he already knew that you were going to sin and go to eternal hell, which is extremely horrible, so Alla is a sadistic demon.

Nice. I hope you enjoy that ride. Come back and tell us some stories. Infinity all the way. If that's what you want, go for it. Who's to say differently.

If its not two then it should be not three even more fundamentally.

No Christian theologian have explained how can three different persons be one simultaneously..and I've done research into Christianity as well and it didn't convince me. Islam doesn't tell me I'm a sinner that needs to be saved .which what the Christian faith is based on right ? Its the bedrock of Christian faith .

First of all ..it's Allah not Alla...I know that you know that..but you are doing this deliberately and I fully understand why you are doing this .

Heaven and hell in Islam has spiritual interpretation in sufisim.  When you are disconnected from God your life Is aiming hell..when you are connected with God your life is heaven.

But even more so..God knows everything from the get go ..he knows there will be death ..sickness..corruption..dogs raping others dogs etc yet he allowed it . Because God is infinite creativity.

@Someone here

Go live with muslims if you don't want to leave out anything. Actually, if you do that, you'll break out of your fantasies about religion/spirituality in the first week.

As a fantasy, it can be magical, but you can't differentiate that from "reality" right now because you believe you'll be closer to reality than ever. But it's a different thing if you do it to understand it.

I'm aware of all the problematic aspects of Islam.  I said I did the research.  I know that there are verses in the Quran which says to fight the unbelievers for example.  But it can be  reinterpreted to fit only the context of Muslim's situation from 1400 years ago to sort out their rights during that time . It's not applicable today in the 21st century.

Most Muslims are stage blue . They are highly dogmatic and not open minded.  I don't think I need to look at Muslims  ..I need to look at Islam itself unfiltered by any intermediary.  So I chose the Sufi sect . Which attempts to reach God realization through Islamic practices.

Just like you have chosen the sufi sect in Islam, you can choose to follow something like advaita vedanta in Hinduism or worship an ultimate deity like Shiva or Vishnu or follow something entirely different like Jainism or Sikhism.

Although Hinduism has its own set of problems like casteism,  ( it's debatable whether it's part of the religion or the social structure in ancient times) and superstitions, multiple deity worship is considered necessary by a group of Hindus, because your mind can focus and manifest desires better that way.

For eg., if you want education, you have to worship Saraswati, if you want money, you have to worship Lakshmi. If you want a child, you have to travel a long way to reach a specific temple meant for that.

Why do you need multiple gods? It's simply because human's intelligence differs from each other, many unable to understand that God can be only one. If we worship the same god for everything, the focus and interest given to the god might get diluted. People's effort to pray will be reduced as you wish to get everything from the same location from the same temple nearby. Instead, if you can get specific desires from only a specific god, your effort and concentration for manifestation has to increase.

If you wish to worship only a single deity, you can always worship either Shiva or Vishnu. They are both considered the same by many, which is brahman, and nobody will question you for worshipping only a single God.

You are not serious. Please strike a serious conversation or just stop your hustle about stuff you have no clue about.

Yes ..God knows everything.  If he didn't..he would not be so much of a frickin GOD isn't it ? So he definitely knows the entire history and the entire future of the universe. From the beginningless beginning to the endless end .

If you read Abu Hammed Al Ghazaly or Ibn Arabi you will see that the ultimate destination of all creatures is heaven . You will not last forever in the hell fire . There are verses in the quran which says this...if you want (but more importantly if you are serious and not just here to mock Islam and express your Islamophobia)then I can give you the verses.

I just say that I read. Maybe in another verses they say another thing. Notice that disobey God is impossible, because God is omnipotent.

Of course there are verses that says it explictly that if you disobey God you shall burn forever in hell. You don't need to quote them because they are figuratively countless (not really countless of course but I mean plenty).

Read that:

"When that Day arrives, no one will dare speak except with His permission. Some of them will be miserable, others joyful.

As for those bound for misery, they will be in the Fire, where they will be sighing and gasping,

staying there forever, as long as the heavens and the earth will endure, except what your Lord wills. Surely your Lord does what He intends."

11:105-107

What do you make of this ?

@Dodo i view Christianity to be the dark side.  Virtue signaling is worse than telling it like it is imo. 99 percent of Christians are Virtue signaling that they follow Jesus and don't actually do the work intended.

They don't have to exist to have effects on you. It doesn't matter which god you pray, Shiva or Christ or Allah or a tree, you all pray to the same God.

In Islam, you give a form to God with a name called Allah, in the same manner, in Hinduism, you give a form with a name and a shape. Both are not that far away.

Ofcourse God will show itself to different nations and parts of the globe in different ways. There is diversity of people and diversity of ways to understand God perhaps.

I am not subscribed to all religions being right,  but I can see how they can be, in the paradoxical world we live in.

The cyrillic alphabet, it is believed, that God gave it to St. Kiril and St. Metodii while they were in a cave. Im sure it wasnt Allah or Jesus who gave the Cyrillic Alphabet, but it was yet another aspect of God.

God likes diversity, not everyone the same. Is it that surprising that something that is infinite is not bound to being only one way?
