How can I become the next Mike Johnson in Politics?

I am working on my vision of becoming a politician in congress eventually. I would like to know how I can become the next Mike Johnson because I feel that is who I am most like in politics.  

I am starting a masters program in public policy in the fall and I am currently volunteering in a campaign for a candidate running for office currently to get more experience in politics.

I'm wondering what else can I be doing to become the next Mike Johnson in politics?

You need to penetrate the elite circles and connect with the wealthy and party establishment. Unfortunately they have lots of options so it’ll be unlikely unless you have a lot of prestigious recommendations like a harvard degree and connections with influential think tanks and corporate donors.

@Raze Well how can I penetrate the elite circles and connect with wealthy party establishment? I am talking to the head of the Republican Party in my city and he told me he would connect me with donors eventually.

@Leo Gura Isn't that a subjective thing though? Like Mike Johnson's beliefs could be truth and decency just different than what democrats believe in.

His beliefs are irrelevant because he has sold his soul to the devil for power.

What you are doing in that position is playing power games and self-enrichment.

@Leo Gura Your right but he doesn't really have a choice though. Think about it in that position you either play the power games or you don't. 

It's not like you really have any other choice when you are in that position or you won't advance in your career.
