We are brilliant and crazy at the same time

It amazes me how groups of people like scientists or politicians can be extremely brilliant or extremely stupid.

We f%#king sent humans on the Moon  50 yeras ago when computers were in their prehistory, I was completely amazed when I studied the billiancy of the scientists involved in that. BUT at the same time people still starve themselves because calorie deficit bullshit is still prevalent in the collective mentality, still posioning themselves with wheat and other crap. We posioned the whole fkin world with lead by putting it into gasoline. AND after admiting that we poisoned the whole world with lead, Europe poisoned their whole population again with diesel fumes by pushing some stupid environment legislantion that encouraged diesel cars production and sales.

How can we be so brilliant and so stupid at the same time?
