Clubs are some of the lamest places on Earth.

For a moment I actually thought you were going to make a good point. I was wrong.

No one's judgement is 'more special' or 'more authentic'. We are all constantly judging the crap out of everything. Those who say they don't, are inauthentic.

Ok...

Bars and clubs are the gym for your social skills. It's far from just just getting laid. If don't enjoy yourself that's on you

Nice perspective. Never looked at it that way even though that is what helped me perfect mine. I never really said to myself I'm going to go work on my social skills now; but looking back, I can see how it's responsible for me being able to relate to people socially without hang-ups or being awkward about it.

That's why they all have to get shitfaced every weekend, yes. Because they have great social skills.

There is a fine line between getting wasted on a Tuesday and working on your skills / personal development  work: intention and not getting intoxicated.

Some people go out with the intent of getting wasted , getting lucky, to pick a fight, out of boredom, to get validation and attention, to meet people, to hook up,  etc

Yours can be personal development, dealing with your own emotions, overcoming  your fears, improving your mindset , learning to build your own state, giving value and fun to others , conversational skills, improving your voice projection , sense of humor, casual flirting skills , etc

Getting laid should be no more than a bonus, and fixating on getting laid  and making it your standard for a successful night is a sure way or making yourself miserable

@mmKay I hear you, and it's a nice idea, but the reality is that 99.99% of people don't go to clubs for personal development purposes. They go out precisely for the opposite reason. To distract themselves from ever doing any introspection or work on themselves.

Clubs are just nasty. If you're not all numbed out already, and you can tune into the collective vibe of the place... it will make you wanna throw up, without consuming any alcohol.

Yes, you might bump into someone genuine and cool too, but highly unlikely.

You don’t like clubs because you’re not Klošar enough.
