It's not really new. I don't know why it turned out that way, I think my backlight got set too dim for some reason. It wasn't supposed to change.

@Leo Gura That was a great episode. I gleaned a lot of insight and I could sense the break served you well. (There seems to be a meta-lesson there on the power of taking breaks and giving real space to creative endeavors... maybe worthy of an episode in the future?)

@Leo Gura is being pessimistic about problems like not reframing them and ruminating the issues from past also a trap. Even tough you mentioned negative visualization/ pre mortem to avoid traps. Thank you . A beautiful episode , I am doing negative visualization since more than 3 months.

Yes.

Pre-mortem technique to avoid traps is very different from being pessimistic and stuck in negativity.

Contemplating the past for lessons is very good. But again, that's very different from being stuck in negative feelings about the past.

If you're doing it properly you should feel empowered, not weakened.

So @Leo Gura doing negative visualization that things will go bad and what I will do at that + combining it with CBT helpful. Cuz I suffer a lot due to past issues and I have taken Cole Hastings self mastery course in which like there is a worksheet that relates to removing habits and creating habits. I choose to remove the habit of rumination to doing positive self talk during adversity and when that adversity is gone I write the number l have conquered adversity and till date I have conquered 52 adversities ( from the day I started writing my victories). Thanks to self mastery/self actualization and your YouTube channel. What are you're thoughts on resilience ?

Be careful with that. I don't like the idea of you visualizing negative stuff all the time. This could easily be done in the wrong way and make things worse. "Negative visualization" is a narrow kind of Stoic technique which is supposed to make you more contemplative and appreciative about your life.

@Leo Gura Resilience means bouncing back from adversity or negative situations in life. So, I am worried that weather I will get a good job during campus placements or not or I will be unemployed. So is the solution that having a backup plan that even low paying job I will get , I will take it because as an engineer/ scientist my experience would matter and if I didn't get a job in campus placement I will try off campus placement. Also is an optimism too required that I can get a good job since I have a descent percentage of 76% in the 4th year of my 5 years of integrated masters of biotechnology engineering and I can perform better next semester by understanding the subjects?

1) Employment is always uncertain. You just do the best you can and hope for the best. And if that doesn't work, you keep trying and trying, or you think about other kinds of work.

2) Optimism is required when applying for jobs. You have to believe in yourself. But of course you also have to prepare yourself properly for interviews, learn how to optimize your resume, portfolio of work, and job applications. So it's not just blind hope, it's about training and preparing yourself well.

3) I wouldn't think about percentages or odds in this case. Your attention should be on how to optimize your entire application process to entice employers, to make yourself a stand-out candidate. The best way to do that is to build up an impressive portfolio of work by doing small personal side projects. Have some work to show your employers. If your work is good enough there is no doubt people will want to hire you. So it's really just about having good work to show. Which is something that's entirely within your control. It's not something you just sit back and hope for. You build it.

4) You can find online courses which teach you how to submit good resumes, how to do good job interviews, and more. You should study this domain and learn all the traps of the job application process and how to do it properly. This is a kind of skill you must learn in addition to your engineering skills.

I still wanna contemplate on my own the topic, do the exercises and rewatch it, but wanted to give a quick feedback, structure wise, out of the cuff.

Your voice seems deeper and more direct in communication, it definetely has changed.

Making brief silence moments, increases the quality and deepness of what you are saying, it kind of lets you soak it all in. Communication is both verbal and nonverbal.

I liked the help of visual content, like you did in your video of Strange Loops and now again. I think it's a resource you can use more.

Take a break, it gave boost to the video. The outro was perfect, in the past you said too many things when taking a break, this time was perfect and it didn't break the flow but actually energized it.

AI gave a flavour to the video. I think you are still exploring how to get the balance right. I see how it can hijack the stream of thoughts and present its own traps but it can also do many research heavylifting, polishing and mirroring. Freeing you to do the cutting edge intellectual work you can only do. Keeping your indepedence of Mind and Conscious Sovereignity is important to spot the PseudoIntelligent AI Devil Trap.

It felt very holistic, there was a subtle connection with many prior episodes.

Applying for jobs is more than writing a resume. What you need is a course that teaches you the whole job application process.
