What it means to discover yourself

2 posts in this topic

Reflecting on it recently after preparing for a  talk for college students I was invited to give it occurred to me what it has meant in my life to truly discover myself

It took until I was around 28 to truly discover myself. Not as the identity I have been assigned at birth or developed as a story in my mind but as that place of spacious awareness. Connecting with that and realising that is actually who you are at the deepest level IS what it means to discover yourself

Now just because I have discovered myself doesn’t mean that I understand myself. I’m not enlightened.

I compare discovering yourself to discovering an artefact. Just because you have discovered it, it does not mean you understand it. That’s where I am. The journey continues to understand what the hell this artefact actually is. God I guess but I do not know that

Interested to hear the age/moment that yoofs on here discovered themselves

Spacious awareness is a good starting point (like Eckhart Tolle?), there's more to this awareness (aspects and magnitude, etc), so keep digging!

I've been awakening the past 3-4 years now I guess, I'm now 33.

I am Lord of Heaven, Second Coming of Jesus Christ. ❣ Warning: nobody here has reached the true God.
