What is your opinion on sickleave culture?

In SD Green countries you are pretty much allowed to "call sick" for up one week without being checked in some way. Or even fake an illness to your doctor and you'll get even more paid time off. I am wondering when is this going too far? Because the jobs here are still shit, most of them office crap. When most of you hate your jobs and you can just call sick, isn't it unfair for those colleagues who really love their job and show up every day and managers who have to replace  you out all the time? Not to mention that if you hate your job you aren't as productive as those who do.

It is just added flexibility. Of course there are people who abuse it, but they are more likely to be let go off.

The only ones abusing the system are the rich. Wealth disparity is at record extremes. We need more worker rights, not less.

When your fridge is empty, and theirs no fuel available for your car.  Until that starts happening, don't worry.

a day is enough, if you require more, you should get a note from a doctor.

It's mostly on shitty companies. Firms should look at their culture and operations. If it's a shitty culture, then people are less inclined to go off sick.
