The sneakiness of ego after awakening

4 posts in this topic

The ego is a pattern of expression that is due to an identity. This is a result of Reality being a constant eternal generation, it is always generating/creating itself presently. As such for a bottle to be a bottle it must continually generate that form/pattern for it to be a bottle. A human psyche is a complex web of different forms that must be untangled/cut, for the free ability to express differently. This is what separates humans from other forms of creations like dogs, and cats, is that human can express in a myriad/bunch, of different ways.

How you know you are trapped in ego? Like a parrot, or broken answering machine your response is the same. There is no divergence, no depth, no connectivity to what is, just a dry repeated pattern only focused on reiterating its message regardless of the nuance and circumstances surrounding it. An ego that seeks to be ONE, will think this means repeating a singular pattern, and thus will rebuff against/resist the spontaneity, and creativity of all that is as just a mere illusion devoid of meaning and purpose. It takes on the void as an identity, the emptiness as an identity, and thus denounces the fullness, and vibrancy.

The ego is a repeater, it is deja vu itself upon close inspection, it must get its singular point, its singular will across while discarding what is around itself. The ego's game is to deny, while the lack of ego accepts. The ego's game is to assume, and project, the lack of ego is to listen, understand, and reflect. The ego is limited, the lack of ego unlimited. The ego is an individual perspective view point that is fixed, the lack of ego is multi-perspectival and is fluid.

Use these pointers as signs, and guides to understand where you are expressing from because the ego is very sneaky!

You are a selfless LACK OF APPEARANCE, that CONSTRUCTS AN APPEARANCE. But that appearance can disappear and reappear and we call that change, we call it time, we call it space, we call it distance, we call distinctness, we call it other. But notice...this appearance, is a SELF. A SELF IS A CONSTRUCTION!!!

So if you want to know the TRUTH OF THE CONSTRUCTION. Just deconstruct the construction!!!! No point in playing these mind games!!! No point in creating needless complexity!!! The truth of what you are is a BLANK!!!! A selfless awareness....then that means there is NO OTHER, and everything you have ever perceived was JUST AN APPEARANCE, A MIRAGE, AN ILLUSION, IMAGINARY.

Everything that appears....appears out of a lack of appearance/void/no-thing, non-sense (can't be sensed because there is nothing to sense). That is what you are, and what arises...is made of that. So nonexistence, arises/creates existence. And thus everything is solved.

I thought the ego was an illusion. I thought God was everything. I guess God dumbed itself down to be a dumb everything. Or I guess everything is a constant generation except the ego. I guess for everything to be everything it must continually generate that form/pattern to be itself except the ego. I thought there was no real separation only apparently so and that I was no different than a coffee table. I thought everything was ONE (not two) already so the apparent seeking of the ego to be one will just be a delusion since it is already one, providing there's an ego.

I'm not trying to be smart here. These are legitimate questions. They just don't add up and to me they contradict in so many ways so many things that has been previously said.

All of what you said, the answer is yes. It's one and two. It's an illusion and real. It's self and a reflection. You are both, and everything else you can label or conceive in your mind.

To keep that single thing in mind, you need to keep generating it. You've probably experienced this when you needed to take a refresher course, workout to stay in shape, or realize you'd forgotten something you used to know. Bricks crumble, people age, beliefs decay, interests change, people lose skills or memories, fashions go, relationships end, etc.

The contradiction is where the fun happens for many of us and we sit there because it's entertaining.

I think what Razard says is true from my experience, but he's hitting his ego a bit hard. It's a survival mechanism, and when we feel a threat to our identity or some part of reality we protect, then the ego is there. Spiritual egos are quite common when a belief system is formed and challenged. Sitting in the ego can become an addiction, at least in me, where I go fully into the ego for long periods when I don't have to be. I like establishing the 'best' set of beliefs I can and then arguing them. When you see me or anyone else doing this beyond the initial communication or perhaps an explanation of a point, people should just smile and shrug unless they also like the game.

It's not always unhealthy, if it's positive (and by that, I mean giving you energy) then it's part of the unique makeup of that person. If it's negative, by that I mean draining energy, it's not what a person is, and they are having to use up energy to maintain it. If you find something that's giving you energy to do, then it's you beyond the ego, beyond all the crap we put in the way.

Many of us in this particular forum know arguing perspective is a game God is playing with god. Neither perspective can be better than the other in absolute terms, because who am I to tell you (God) what to believe?
