Little to no gain. If it is for spirituality purposes then better use DMT or psilocibin. IME

@Etherial Cat I have only one big interest, vehicles and driving. I'm a nerd like that, it hasn't changed my whole life so other activities won't cut it for me (pretty much tried them all out). Also I'm sick of meeting new people over and over, my motivation left me. I gotta admit I don't even have any interest in people anymore, same old record, no real wisdom, just stupidity. Makes it hard to create friendships 😅 just the loneliness stays.

@Schizophonia I'm curious, how does it seem that way? And yeah I'll admit I still have no clue how to devote my life to that one thing.

@Human Mint I don't plan on cutting it out of my life completely, nothing comes close to it for me. But it sure does have its downsides, I definitely underestimated its effects.

@meta_male Hi! I think you likely need wholesome, spiritual wisdom that is practical, free of dogma, and grounded in this physical reality. These teachings are rare but they do exist, and here's a treasure trove: https://www.audible.com/pd/James-Allen-Complete-Premium-Collection-Audiobook/2291063790

This is all you need to guide your mind back to health. The mind becomes unhealthy as a result of impure thought. These teachings inspire you to identify, uproot, and replace them with healthy thoughts. You are not inherently weak. You have unwittingly allowed your mind to entertain detrimental thoughts, and your suicidal ideation is the result. You can change it if you want to. You simply have to stop thinking/doing certain things and start thinking/doing others. The collection I shared can walk you through that process. I would disconnect from all other schools of thought and media and any online communities that don't compliment the teachings.

I hope you find some peace soon.

If truth is the guide, there's no need for ideology, right or left.

Maturity in discussion means the ability to separate ideas from identity so one can easily recognize new, irrefutable information as valid, and to fully integrate it into one’s perspective—even if it challenges deeply held beliefs. Both recognition and integration are crucial: the former acknowledges truth, while the latter ensures we are guided by it.

Hey, brother, hope you are hanging in there. Since most people took the spiritual route with their answer, let me give you a man to man answer.

I have had periods of consecutive 4-5 months that I hadn't talked to absolutely anybody. 2 years of my life I had only nightmares. I've had months on end when the only thing I felt was depression so strong, I had tearing physical pain in my chest. That is to say, I've been to some dark times and places, and the one thing that has kept me together throughout is physical exercise. I mean it.

Whether it was running 6 miles/10k daily a few years ago, or as of the last 2 years powerlifting, the precise exercise doesn't really matter as long as I am pushing. As males, our hormone levels and aggression (or lack there-of) are directly tied to our body. By creating a baseline of discipline, it gives you something to fall back on. It is also incredibly healthy for your neurotransmitters/brain chemistry. Along that line, I also quit weed 8 months ago, so respect for your commitment, you are already steps in the right direction.

@Ero Thanks man, I'm doing much better these days. Your approach is much underrated, keep moving and going through routines to create momentum is what helped me, it took time. Also exercising and partying has done a lot.
