It wasn't so much Communism as industrialization.

All these Communist countries were pre-industrial when they made the leap into Communism, and its that industrialization which really raised their standard of living and brought them into modernity.

But that industrialization could have been done without the Communism and probably would have gone better.

Of course Russian culture as some great stuff in it, as every culture does.

Yup. Capitalists could have done it better in many ways.

But have you seen the sheer magnitude of the stuff that China built? Only a pre planned communist government could do that.

Many places in China are vastly superior in living standards that most Americans couldn't even comprehend. They are absolute building machines.

Because they got zero red tape. So they could plan out into the future much more effectively than democratic governments which is locked into 5 years plans and wasting money over elections in which different dudes will make the same type of decisions anyway.

They build houses that far outnumber the he demand. Housing crisis would be gone in no time if it was a communist style government.

The only problem with the communists is that their military will be a joke due to rampant corruption. So they will not be able to boss other countries around like US does. But war and military is a waste anyway. You are not supposed to use your military. So that's fine.
