If invaders come to your land killing you kill them back. Simple as that

That's logically valid. Tricky issue though is at the time of the Al Nakba majority of Palestinians, even if they wanted to fight back, they had no training or weapons to do so. What to do when you have no military training, or even rifles and other guns???

I don't fully understand the question. Al Nakba was a surprise. They were told they could come back which is why they all kept the keys to their homes

🌲 You can rarely pretend to give an effective advice to someone just from the fact that you cannot see the unique inner logic behind his actions, no matter how obvious you will mistakenly think the answer is. If you really want to help and not to harm, encourage him to trust more his own logic.

All this is crazy, a constant and ongoing terrorist slaughter of civilians, a genocide. This is why Israel doesn't want the ceasefire, because they don't get to keep doing these kinds of actions if they accept as much as they want, kill more of those that they don't want in this land, and destroy or steal anything they have. That's more valuable than the life of the hostages, who are being treated way better than the ones Israel held without justification, has to be said.

All this because they have this big brother in the US that has used its veto power five times since October 7th in the UN, provides them with US taxpayer money, weapons, and a legion of media in their favor. I don't know what they got on Biden, but they got more on Trump, so they are pushing him under the bus anyway. The senile old man and his team are not very bright.

After that you loose the chance any Israeli here will give any weight to your claims because you show from what matter and interests they are really built.

Also, remember about the human shields? Here are some, but used by the IDF, of course, because most accusations are confessions from them. Like they would care if they saw a Hamas fighter with a Palestinian person not to shoot at both of them instantly.

Their modus operandi with whatever they put in their target list was to bomb their homes at night knowing very well their families and neighbors would die as well. Less Palestinians alive, that's a win for Israel, because they want that land for themselves.

Here a gem worth remembering, this illustrates the problem very well. Foreigners stealing homes and land from native people for more than 70 years.

It's not hard to understand. They are out of control genocidal maniacs. You don't need to make sense of the "politics" of it all. Imagine giving Ted Bundy access to an army. Do you really need to dissect all this information? Some people are just born to burn everything down

Benjamin Netanyahu denounces tactical pauses in Gaza fighting to get in aid

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has criticised plans announced by the military on Sunday to hold daily tactical pauses in fighting along one of the main roads into Gaza to facilitate aid delivery into the Palestinian enclave.

The military had announced the daily pauses from 8am local time (3pm AEST) until 7pm in the area from the Kerem Shalom Crossing to the Salah al-Din Road and then northwards.

"When the prime minister heard the reports of an 11-hour humanitarian pause in the morning, he turned to his military secretary and made it clear that this was unacceptable to him," an Israeli official said.

The military clarified that normal operations would continue in Rafah, the main focus of its operation in southern Gaza, where eight soldiers were killed on Saturday.

The reaction from Mr Netanyahu underlined political tensions over the issue of aid coming into Gaza, where international organisations have warned of a growing humanitarian crisis.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who leads one of the nationalist religious parties in Mr Netanyahu's ruling coalition, denounced the idea of a tactical pause, saying whoever decided it was a "fool" who should lose their job.

Israel wants security above all

Maybe in the past. Now they want land more than peace. The West Bank illegal expansion is the proof.

Who is to say that Palestine won't turn into Hamastan in no time?

They could easy have some UN presence or international presence to ensure that will not happen. And worse case it happens, Israel will be way more justified to invade them and kick them out of power. Just like US invaded Iraq and took out their dictator.

On 6/13/2024 at 6:21 PM, Vrubel said:

It's absolutely out of the question that a Palestinian state can be militarized apart from a security force to keep the armed riffraff groups in check so they won't organize themselves into full-fledged and well-funded terrorist organizations just like Israel is doing now by means of "occupation."

And why should Israel secretly hold nuclear weapons while not allowing other countries to do so? This goes both ways.

@Nivsch @Gennadiy1981 The difference between you 2 is that Nivsch tends to be more central in his views regarding this issue while Gennadiy is more radical. Nivsch calls people like Ben Gvir too radical and extreme. Also most importantly, he is in favour of two state and does not use Torah and bible stuff to justify anything. And he seems to have some compassion for the suffering of Palestinians and does admit the government goes too far sometimes. So yeah.

@Vrubel Is somewhere between Nivsch and Gennadiy. More harsh than Nivsch but less radical than Gennadiy. He is pro two state and recognizes that the land is also partially Palestinian. But when it comes to the Israeli Gaza response, I have not seen him say that they went too far ever.

My assessment of you guys.

Thank you for being here and posting about this, it gives interesting insight of Israelis and how they differ towards this issues.

We don't need beheaded babies to know what happened that day was horrific.

It does matter a lot because it makes Hamas has a certain image which may or not be true.

Saying "A group of people went in a village and shot everyone they found and raped some" is a classical textbook military practice which still happens today. It is unfortunately still common in war. Russians did it in Bucha, US did it in Vietnam. Etc.

Saying "A group of people went into a village, beheaded babies, put babies in ovens, tied childreen and burned them alive, cut bellies of preagant women etc", is no longer a classical textbook military practice. It happens in very specific places around the world but humanity at large has evolved past this. It paints the group as a bunch of barbaric medieval people. It creates much stronger emotions. Leo has said it well "It is not just how many you kill, but also how you kill that counts". 1 clip of a beheaded Palestinian baby killed in Rafah caused an insane outrage, much more than literally hundreds of children's that have been shot dead by Israeli snipers. It creates powerful emotions.

What happened that day is indeed horrific, no deny there.

But the way you portray the people responsible is important because it will then justify doing horrible things back.

If the emotional outrage that causes that justification is built based on lies, it makes the whole ordeal much more manipulative and untruthful.
