Honestly, I am silent on social media because I am afraid. My non-Jewish girlfriend posted a pro-Israel post on Social Media and I reprimanded her to not do that again.

Take that as a win that you guys are the loudest. You even get to redefine words that used to have real meaning.

It’s the same with anyone talking out against what Israel is doing.

Everyone is being silenced, on both sides.

I have so many Jewish friends and i cant even talk about the conflict with them as they are so surprised anyone would think what Israel is doing is bad.

True, until it couldn't as much anymore due to social media. Propaganda can also be as subtle as titling headlines as 'X number of killed Israeli's' vs  'X number of Palestinians just died' its the subtle, persistent use of language that seeps into the hackable brains of the populace.

The response to IDF crimes being brought up to Washington is simply - we have urged to investigate the matter.  Since when is the accused asked to investigate itself? Washington holding a position that every accusation of Israeli criminality in Gaza just means Israel needs to investigate itself is exactly the same as having a position that Israel can commit any crime it wants with no consequences whatsoever.

The West get to redefine the word hypocrisy, and exemplify the use of selective principles. Zionists make the most noise per capita - and as you mentioned very few people are actual Zionists.

Yes I meant to say way earlier Israel's propaganda was spreading very quick. Yes later with social media and drones capturing snippets of crimes is when Israel's propaganda was reduced a bit.

True it sounds ridiculous for a court system, the juries and judge to let the guilty party trial itself and investigate itself. Maybe in a utopia world with stage turquoise societies we can do that, but we're nowhere near utopia at all.

I could argue that the Palestinian side was earlier heavily censored in mainstream news circuits way more than Israel's propaganda. Israel was getting that pass, for example with that 48 beheaded babies headline. Like that's a very specific number and claim, yet apparently evidence for that is so elusive and hard to verify at that time that it's surprising it got the green light to circulate in the news cycles.

You claimed he has a skewed bias, yet @Leo Gura showed level headed takes to both sides here. Yet when Leo covers Palestine, you and 3 other hyper Israel Zionists were attacking him and claiming he's so biased when he previously covered Israel. So...

I didn't claim that.

You got confused.

You are overlooking WHY israel needed to become physically powerful, because without that power, Israel just would not survive here.

It's good Israel became powerful , whats not good is how that power was used. Zionists overlook their own actions that actually threaten their survival, and claim those very actions are in fact for their survival.

Settlement expansion is survival, suffocation of Palestinian rights and statehood is survival, military check points is survival, the subversion of US politics and smacking both sides of their political ass cheeks is survival - everything is survival, and everything resisting that 'survival' is 'Hamas' or 'anti-semitic' or Iran.

Israel insulates itself from accountability under the false pretence of security and survival.

Anything for Palestine was censored majorly.

the truth was exposed in the end. Not many people now think Israel is doing a good job in Gaza, even little old ladies are horrified.

@Merkabah Star

People tend to focus on the injustices they have experienced or know and misunderstand the current situation.

Israel is the powerful one here; it believes otherwise, which is problematic.

People confuse being compassionate towards people who have seen people die or were wounded as a way to determine who is on the wrong side. I mean, it's easy to be against people who harm the ones we identify with.

@Danioover9000 Yes my views are like Vrubel but I didn't say to Leo anything like the things that you said because every one of us have our emotions and angle from where we see this issue so there is no need to mention this.

There is a need to address this because you keep on supporting @Vrubel with hearts and pluses. The same guy who claimed Leo is skewed you also share that. If you keep on mentioning @Leo Gura and similarly accuse others of a 'skewed bias', then don't be surprised to get some push back for being unreasonable.

I'm not gaslighting, I'm stating that @Vrubel has accused  @Leo Gura of having and 'skewed bias'. Since you @Nivsch have supported @Vrubel and few other users of pro Israeli bias, you are complicit and equally guilty as @Vrubel when the fact is that @Leo Gura has a reasonable view of both Israel and Palestine.

@zurew  who cares about definitions? We've reached a stage in which mass graves are being discovered and still some of you insist to argue.

Both-Sidism no longer holds, it's past 6 months already.

https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2024/04/gaza-discovery-of-mass-graves-highlights-urgent-need-to-grant-access-to-independent-human-rights-investigators/

Definitions are important in discussions and arguing/debating because definitions establish common ground between arguers, establishes valid reasoning, establishes an exchange of ideas even though sometimes it can get heated. Without definitions enforced or even implied then language itself and communications break down. Might as well redefine Nazis as chocolate bars to sell in rave parties.

@Danioover9000Sure. I meant there is no point in sharing a LonerBox tweet regarding the meaning of the ICJ ruling because we're already past the point of arguing whether it's genocide or not. There is already a clear evidence; esp with the recent mass graves discovery. At this point a legal definition from a 3 month old hearing is actually useless.

Okay, let's say you're right, we're all past arguing if or that is genocide, and Carthage really wasn't wiped out by Rome, fine. Okay, how do we move forwards from this though? First of all, if you say protesting is gonna do it, it's least likely. Netanyahu and cabinet still gonna move forwards with this war even with an unhappiness level of 10 points or below. Believe me, I've played enough Civilization games, mainly Civ 5 and UniCiv, that it's possible to send armies out even with an unhappy population. Also, considering the geopolitical and geographical nature of this conflict, sorry but Israel functions as a beach head onto middle eastern growing powers from which western powers can exert some influence, so they aren't going to not stop being relevant one way or another.

Do you think another court case right now would make any difference? Do you think there is more evidence of a genocide now?

Israel is not on the side of truth in this situation. It's playing shameless survival games. The rest it minutia.

And even worse, Israel drags America into its untruthful games. If Israel wants to play its games, fine, but leave America out of it.

Israel is a hard-necked people that defends against terroists.

Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and not just please ourselves.

America will fight in the upcoming world war and suffer heavily.

That's a lot of counties threatened by Israel...IDK how America will handle this.
