Sadhguru undergoes emergency brain surgery after ‘life-threatening bleeding’

@Leo Gura

I often think about what I would do if you were found dead (I don't wish) or stopped your work for some reason. It's a sobering question.

Oh I remembered the point I was trying to make. The stories being true or not is irrelevant. The point I was trying to make is: to be a 24/7 of service is an enlightened quality, a quality of Truth and not some negative self deception poo poo quality.

There... My brains started working now :D

Depends on how and why it's done. There are many ways to do it wrong. Like, for example, working yourself to exhaustion.

It is normal to die at any time, to think that being enlightened will free you from accidents or illness is not to be enlightened. sadhguru implied that due to his condition he was invulnerable and had control over his destiny. The lesson in humility has been serious. I'm sure he will recover and be the same again, but a little more humble and less full of fantasies , would be good

You know I heard something interesting about bees..

I heard that bees live for 2-3weeks approximately. And that bees never rest or sleep but work work work. And they die working till their last moment. And the queen is giving birth to 8000bees nothing but giving birth birth birth until she dies.

And the interesting thing is that in shamanism they call this phenomena Love. They say Bees are a manifestation of just a big service and love basically. Pretty cool huh. Maybe there is a lesson in nature here.

@Salvijus If you wanna behave like an animal, don't let me stop you.

Maybe you are a spiritual rat in a wheel? ;)

Mmm... Damn you have good comebacks.

But let's be fair. There's some kind of beauty in being of service rather than being ego-centric.

And you say it depends how you do it. But I would ask. How can there be a wrong way to be of service?

Yeah, the lesson is work like a bee and you die like a bee.

Guys... Cmon. I can't be the only one who can see how what bees do can be seen as a manifestation of love.

Altruism is an illusion.

Consider the possibility that if you became seriously conscious you might even see through the illusion of being of service and enjoy life more by doing something else.

Of course I'm not saying you can't be of service if you want to. You're free in that regard. But do you want to work yourself like a mule serving others until your head starts to bleed? A lot of times people work to serve others even long after it stops being healthy. Everything can be done in healthy and unhealthy ways. So it's not the thing being done but whether you are doing it healthily.

Perhaps. But there are examples of beings who lived their life in service. And Jesus wasn't the only example. In this day and age there are enlightened beings who are living in that way aswell

By doing something else... I believe. And perhaps we won't agree on this. But I believe there is nothing else to do after enlightenment except:

1. Be in samadhi.

2. Be of service.

That something else can be ego-pampering time only. And an enlightened mind would not be doing that.

Or at least that's what my logic says.

Your logic is very limited.

You can retire and live a happy life doing art, or watching birds, or a million other things.

I'm somehow skeptical it was the work that caused it. I would rather wait for more info of what really happened

True. True. And I do acknowledge these to be valid ways to live as well.

But what if.... There is nothing more fulfilling than to be of service in life? Perhaps that is what is driving an enlightened mind to be of such intense service. Perhaps that is the wisest thing one could do or be in samadhi would be the other extreme.
