Oneness and manyness is not two, but ONE! There is no difference between real and unreal -- that is twoness. Oneness means real and unreal are one. One = Many Many = One Form = Formlessness Formless = Form Duality = Nonduality Mu -

Nonduality: There is only one moment. Not two. Non dual. Therefore, it must be the best moment. There is no competition. -

@Spinoza Everything is literally you. Yes, you. Not the best version of you, or a potential future you, or a more loving you - just you , sitting there, now - that you. The regular you. Lol. The you that you’ve been calling “me”. This includes your spirit, your soul, your ego, your person, your words, your brain, your emotion, your imagination, your thoughts, all that you hear, see, smell, taste, touch - EVERYTHING, is you. You are not real, nor unreal. You do not exist, nor are you nonexistent. The “things” you see in the “world” are not real, nor unreal. They do not exist, nor are they nonexistent. Those are referred to as dualities (thinking), pointing to the truth of One - YOU! That thinking, is also You. You can believe everything is not you, and that belief is also you. Synonyms for You: me, him, her, it, God, Nothing, YHWH, Everything, Source, lamp, Satan, The limitless One, table, The all that is, Allah, Yahweh, The Devil, The King of Kings, flower, The Light, The Love, Lord of Lords, ABBA, Elohim, clouds, El-Shaddai, Jehovah, water, Adonai, I am, frogs, Advaita, Brahman, poop & The Tao. All those names are your name. They are just words you say to you. Of course, the Truth is not believable. But that “problem” is also You. People generally misunderstand the term Oneness, as in “He became One with everything”. A more accurate wording is, “Holy shit! It’s all me”. If all things seem like ‘not you’, then it is appropriate to refer to all things as illusionary, as an illusion is transpiring in appearance. The deep inherent “problem”, is to even use a single word, or say “It’s all One”, implies duality. The one telling the truth, is you. The one lying about the truth, is you. The fearless one, is you. The one who is scared, is you. The depressed one, is you. The free one, is you. Say “nonduality”, and it is not nonduality. -

Don't only rely on one source, otherwise it will really become a cult. Actualized.org is useful to understand reality and spirituality as a sort of deconstruction or cleaning up everything until nothing remains so you can have clean view, but you also need to combine this radical non-dual approach to spirituality with other things: religions, scriptures, psychology, art, science etc. etc etc Because if you only have nothingness then you will turn ideas that people share on this forum into dogmas. Because you need ground anyway, and its important to update ground all the time. Don't follow into reductionism trap, coz model is required to navigate, you just need to update your model, never settle for anything even if you are super-enlightened. And nonduality is quite useless without traditional spirituality, modern teachings are useless without ancient teachings. Because these all are signs, maps, some better some worse. And always think for yourself, deconstruct all of that and then intuitively integrate each in one another, nothing can really be thrown away, its all has reason for existence, even if seems like archaic non-sense to you. And do this not for entertainment but well to survive spiritually, and to live like you were designed to live, and to find what you lost, and for that you need to understand what our life is about, and what is the true way, what is the narrow gate? To do that one need to think like child (have no prejudices and have 'magical' or symbolic thinking) patient, humble and mindful to his ideas, thoughts, experiences, even his 'truth-realisations', feelings, emotions, and even mindful to his mindfulness, and of course follow your silent soul within heart, its like compass without form, words, voice, it can somehow show you the way if you are mindful enough to follow it. Life is a puzzle and we are here to undertake journey, we don't really know what we are seeking, and dedicate yourself fully to the path, make it your life and mind that spiritual path is not just techniques, it is life, it is quest of life, its not just to be better person, it is really a game, a quest, a transformation from Pinocchio into a real boy, Jesus said only few will find the narrow path. While most on the path will be deceived by themselves, by their own experiences, by their own happiness. -
LSD doesn’t yield any sort of insight, merely a drug (to use the technical term for it) that results in altered perception. It’s humans who assign any sort of value to that perception and make it more than what it is. The same goes for you claim to “destroying the self”, even though it’s hard to prove such a statement for if the self doesn’t exist then there isn’t anything to destroy, even then how do you know when there isn’t one? Can one be certain? Who decided what no self is and can they be sure that it’s still isn’t just the self? To me the sense of self is similar to the sense of no self. Both are merely a perception that people assign meaning to. You assign meaning to it as some kind of truth, the same that others assign it meaning as something that exists. A cursory glance at life suggests that nonduality and noself isn’t the truth of existence. But people will believe what they want either way. I think Pyrrho had the right idea (though I hate to admit it) about suspending judgment on nonevident matters, and this is about as nonevident as it gets. But you are wrong about the ego, I think. It doesn’t like “not self”, it dislikes uncertainty and hates doubt. No self just sounds like the truth and so people pursue it. There is a reason mystics secluded themselves and so do monks, but it has little to do with truth to me. It’s so they can construct a view away from others. We merely give their words more power than they deserve, because we are human. We make meaning. If we didn’t then everything said here and anywhere else is but dust in the wind. Perhaps it’s best not to take their words for granted. Ultimately we are trapped in our own perceptions, the difference between folks is that some are ok with the unknown and some aren’t.

@Thanatos13 Nonduality will remain a concept until all know what it is to be enlightened.

The sex with animals bit is for pleasure (the point). Not that I agree with that but that is the point. 2. You clearly know nothing about early man, you share the misconceptions of much of the population. They had a more developed understanding of existence than modern humans or “mystics”. Second, “direct experience” is meaningless in its importance. All experience is mediated through cognitive and intellectual activity. To say otherwise would be deluding yourself. Love is merely a word we assign to a particular bodily sensation and it is rooted in duality. To see the world through nonduality would be to kill such concepts of “twoness” like friends. Then again that would not be truth but just a way of looking at the world. I know enough about human perception and experience to see that nonduality isn’t actually “seeing” as you so put it but rather just trading one point of view for another and calling it the truth. It’s still a concept like duality, if it were not you wouldn’t be able to understand it let alone know what it is. Its jaring and hard to accept in the same vein as someone taking on a view different from their own.
-
1. Your reasoning is flawed in this statement. Is there a point in having sex with animals? People still fucking do it. 2. How do you know it kills all these things in the first place? you're taking a default position. The CONCEPTS exist as CONCEPTS. A label to verify a certain behavior. There is only a direct experience of nonduality which I never experienced as soon as you reach it through beliefs or actions you have not found it you just thought you did. The only way to know what “is” would be to ask early humans, but that is lost to us. Early humans did not know what "is" they were too busy surviving.
-
Another subjective opinion. There is clearly a point to it otherwise one would not do so. If there was no point to it then there would not be a website dedicated to it. 2. That’s not really accurate since love and friendship and those concepts do in fact exist, even if we made them. Social constructs are not figments of the imagination (a common mistake). That’s like saying plants didn’t exist to begin with or life, but it developed later on. Also there isn’t anything that proves nonduality as truth, rather it is merely the teachings and practice that result in such a state. Nonduality doesn’t show anything, rather it’s a state reached through certain beliefs and actions. The only way to know what “is” would be to ask early humans, but that is lost to us.

Lol, that's actually a major plus. The whole point is to lose your mind to the techniques and stop all this mental masturbation about theortical nonduality. -

DId practices for 20 years, health / fitness for 12, 95% vegetarian for 2, then took about 20 trips (shroom tea) in a 3 year span, last one was almost a year ago. I started at .5g with close, great friends, we laughed our heads off and it loosened reality up. Deeper trips were alone; plentiful insights 3-4 gs, nonduality 4-5gs, Being 5g+. Check your foundation first, use long term thinking, be safe, think ahead, don’t go for a walk or drive, prepare yourself not to call the police / paramedics because you’re tripping balls & freakin out, because in hindsight, you will very much wish you had simply surrendered and allowed. The best (ime) revelations come through tripping in the deep silence of nature (outdoors), with the ideal pinnacle of the trip in total darkness (midnight or so). ❤️ ? -
1. There is no purpose or point. 2. "nonduality" doesn't kill anything. It will let you see it never existed in the first place.
-
1. What is the point of doing this “self actualization”? 2. Why bother with “nonduality” if it kills love, compassion, and pretty much all the good values of humanity?
-
Oh come on shut the fuck up. These jokes are extremely inappropriate even if theres a chance he was a troll. We have proof for neither so it could be a 50/50. This forum and leo himself keep trending towards nihilism where basic compassion goes out of the window. If youre using nonduality to invalidate duality that IS NOT WHAT THE BUDDHA SAID. Youre not walking majjhima patipada (the middle path) which is literally what the noble eightfold path is called. Otherwise youre just spiritually bypassing. Cases like these will keep on happening too by the way, like 2nd poster in this thread said if you identify with this overtop nihilism youre a danger case already. Its telling that this forum has a mental health section at all, ever thought about that? Inb4 "wow look at this huge ego" well, the idea of the path was to get more compassionate and loving wasnt it? Of course enlightened guys shit on other peoples graves.

Monkey-man replied to Monkey-man's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
He related to God as to Father, and he also said they are one. So its both: oneness and two. He talked about both nonduality/oneness and personal/relative aspect of God. And when he was dying on the cross, he was confused first but eventually outsourced his 'will' to Father - 'your will be done' (c) he let it be, surrendered and had full trust in father. So Jesus showed again that Bhagavan/personal aspect of God is the most comprehensive one, same as in Vaishnava and Bhagavat Gita. -
Judging by your arrogance of this video, you might want to really hear what he's saying cause it doesn't sound like you are. This isn't a video on nonduality...
-
Removing your ego doesnt guarantee nonduality. RSD Julien isnt wrong or shallow, he talks about killing the ego, being present in teh moment to calm the monkeymind, to stop overthinking and aproach people in state to connect better and avoid acting weird. People tend to criticise removing the ego for dating purposes, like if this was something dirty or low and spirituali something higher. No, sex is sacred.
-
The "ego" he talks about has nothing to do with nonduality... I can see how his advice can help people who are really stuck to the point where they don't even experience occasional happiness, but the ego Leo talks about is a monster of its own that not even successful, "happy" people are aware of.

@onacloudynight I have a close friend who I’ve done most (12 ish) of my trips with. He’s a fantastic trip mate, a great friend and a hell of a guy. We’re polar opposites on practices though. I meditate, eat clean, and exercise daily (used to self inquire daily) - he eats clean but no practices at all. I’ve retained / integrated each trip in a culminating progression until the big ‘me’ reveal and the nonduality is default. He hasn’t retained any insights. He and I were just talking about this. So, imo, the practices are more important. The trips amp things up, but without practices, it’s just fun being had without the spirituality. Hope that helps somewhat at least. @pluto Dude. Get out of my head! Lol So funny. I just went on a few day solo retreat, prepared with shrooms for tea. Did a couple hours meditation each day, and kept contemplating like ‘what is this trip about’, and I kept laughing. I had an intuitive sense that it would be pointless. Your post is right on for me. Skipped it. Got some deep quality meditation in, and plain ol relaxed a bit. Thanks! -

Yes, very well said thanks @Joseph Maynor I totally relate to what you've said there! it is especially interesting because my path so far has been to let the dream be the guide as I approach nonduality, practicing active mindfulness in majority. So while I do at times “slip out” of it, it’s never for long. I guess my path doesn’t value the urgency of such guidance, heh! But it is a very inspiring experience to have @PsiloPutty ah! That’s a lovely line indeed no, I have no regrets and it wasn’t until I was certain I wouldn’t have em that I became comfortable moving forward in my journey. there are many things in my past experience that led to my growth to the stage of self actualization I’ve found, and they were all essential I did for a time feel very disassociated from my body. and it, with many other things, did help guide me to find new understanding. But I rarely feel that same disassociation now. Ever since my most recent big moment of enlightenment, I’ve not once looked in the mirror without smiling ? So it’s been a few days since I last posted so I wanted to elaborate more on my enlightened experience - something else that has happened is that I constantly am in touch directly with my awareness. What that does mean does vary with time and focus, and well it’s half a lie because I do still occasionally “blink” so to speak but before, I’d lose the consciousness of my awareness whenever taking action for sure often doing or saying or thinking mindlessly. But now when I do or say or think I’m aware of it directly. And the the other thing is I’m constantly in touch with my intuition. At times I flow out of creative into focus, or rest, or closure, or patience, or other such things. But I keep returning to creative intuition and solving problems in a flash that I couldn’t overcome before. Balancing competing needs like I couldn’t do before..., oh there is so much I could be saying about what happened! But I have literally transcended who I was before into a higher state of being — there is no doubt. I find it so easy to smile authentically now, people glow when I look at them. Good bye resting bitch face, haha! I laugh and cry more easily I’m just more in touch with all of my being. Etc— ... Ah, there’s just so much that is difference! so I am awake now like I’ve never been befor, and now I realize that waking up is not leaving the dream, it’s transcensing it until you see what you couldn’t before. You will never leave dreaming behind you. Your dreams will only change to shift into something new! Something that comes with more awareness than before! oh, I do get too excited! But as much change as I've accomplished to become enlightened, it does not stop here. There’s more to be done. She accomplishes one milestone and moves onto the next it’s absolutely inspiring! ... ah, it saddens me because my mother watching me change only sees the anxious one I used to be and believes I’ve entered some kind of crazed state. It’s enlightening to realize the care we need to take when communicating with those not at your stage, it can be frightening or dangerous or damaging. Oh! But, that is exactly what a dream is for! To compartmentalizations reality into something that can be better understood. Haha! To anyone looking to produce media, that’s your key! And to anyone who hates the distraction of media, that’s you’re balancing realization the lower consciousness is nothing but a simplification to enable your understanding. Hate it if it consumes you. Love it when it inspire you! ah, I should stop this post before it gets to be too much -

There is nothing which isn't a mystery. Reality is fundamentally unknowable. But you can be conscious of nonduality, in which there is no life/death, or any other duality, and none of these dualistic questions. See for yourself. -

I don’t use the term “prove” since I don’t have 100% certainty of anything. Of course, yesterday does not exist in the present moment. The papers are evidence that the exam took place in a previous moment. I’m into nonduality, yet humans have evolved the perception of a timeline. Acknowledging that timeline is part of The Game I’m willing to play. My character is not attracted to living solo in the woods.
