  1. Evasion a sign of fear. Only a center/ego fears. And by the way as I said, non dual teachings are totally unecessary and only lead to traps. If one understands the whole of duality/thought and puts all ones energy into every second of the day by applying total attention/awareness of that movement one can end time/duality. That’s the only way. It’s not about the accumulation of non dual teachings “ideas” but instead the ending of duality. “Fact that this movement/process ends.”... The ending of the self/time/the conditioned consciousness. And actual nonduality embodiment has absolutely nothing to do with experience. This is so. Stop defending and explore. It’s never to late to end experience/time. And please enough with petty games. I’m only communicating with you for the watchers at home. We need to be responsible here.
  2. @Faceless If there’s a problem with nonduality, it could only be one thing man. I dont think you’ve experienced nonduality. And of course duality would be realized before nonduality. At the same time, it’s only you, so you can call anything whatever you like really. “Who” could tell you otherwise, right? Lol
  3. @Highest Research verifying you’re alive. Might open your mind up and get you to where you’re talkin about, more so than ‘ego death’ ‘physical death’ verbiage. @Faceless When ‘you’ no longer hold to “facts”, or being “right”, there is no more illusion - it was YOU all along! ❤️ “Illusion” goes poof!? That, is nonduality. ?
  4. @Dino D Very valid questions. It’s because we’re talking about nonduality, not sports, etc. Do you know what nonduality is?
  5. @Faceless It is fun. Thank you. ❤️??? You don’t actually know what psychadelics are. You have beliefs of what psychadelics are. This leads to assumptions and projecting that someone else is remembering and experience and therefore bound by past, trying to relive an experience. You can’t know you’re doing this, because you don’t know what psychadelics are. Wouldn’t you be better off without thoughts about them? Free of those beliefs? Given you don’t want to see for yourself, which I can appreciate. There’s no joke. If you realize the desired is the desirer, the goal is the means...then why do you apply duality that experience is ‘held on to’ and one must be ‘dependent on it’, and that psychedelics - which ARE YOU, are dualistically ‘controlling’, ‘suppressing’. See how you are stating nonduality, while implying controlling & suppressing? No? Is it possible that psychadelics are not what you think they are, since you don’t have any experience with them? You’d have to admit, it’s possible? No? Possible that it’s a much deeper method of self inquiry than you yet know? Since you have no idea what they are? Same with meditation & self inquiry. And expanding your mind for that matter. Admittedly, it’s unfair to expect you to see what I’m talking about. Like me telling you the actuality of Jeet Kune Do, something I know absolutely nothing about. (I think you just glimpsed the fun). I mean, imagine me, telling you, what a person who does Jeet Kune Do is like, and what it is, etc. Ridiculous, right? In the end ‘they’ ‘gained’ nothing for it, but that realization. ( I might be giving Jeet Kune Do to much credit here, I don’t know)
  6. @Faceless Psychadelics. ❤️❤️❤️ Transcend the brain model. Also, those are personal accusations. Please, I apologize if I came accross as personal. Nonduality is pretty personal. I appreciate you. Fascinating to me, seeing were you’re at. Incredibly rare. The maximum of thinking. I mean that in the nicest way. The ceilingless ceiling...? Lol. ❤️
  7. @Faceless Truth 1, desire 2. This is what duality is. In actuality, there is one. (Collapse) To say there can not be one without the other, is duality. But, all is contingent to meanings. I assume, somehow, to you, 2 things which can not both be present are still somehow one thing. (I don’t mean that sarcastically ❤️ It just seems like that’s what you’re saying) In a nutshell, once you know there is only you, desires, thoughts, pigeons, wind, etc, all you. There is no more perspective like In nonduality, what you said is not actual. You are the truth, and there is nothing else. So when you say if X, there is no Truth, you reveal that you aren’t aware you are the Truth, (nondual) and you are also X. (Desire, in this case) (Desire is also Truth) I do understand where you’re at. This is the “consciousness work”. For you, it’d require comfort with not knowing, which is very different than not knowing there is nothing to be known. One is self imposed ignorance, the other is a reference from out of mind / body / “physical universe” (Being) Infinite, is not, Whole, and Whole is not Infinite. Whole, is the “ceiling” of Maya. Absolute is pretty darn accurate once you experience it, and then, it doesn’t matter what word is used, they all refer to you, said by you. You = Absolute. Also, while I’m at it, no secret you are not pro meditation, and mention you have not meditated, but I remember you mentioning you started meditation when you were 11. Only mentioning this because it might bring clarity on how words / meanings can be shifted semantically (for our own sake), as in, the meaning for practices, meditation, psychological time, order, experience, and even psychedelics (though you don’t know what they are yet) changes by the moment to accomadate what I think is a pretty deep wall of paradigm. I could be entirely wrong, and if it’s personal or offensive, just ignore me. I only say this in hopes of growth. I will say though, when you talk about what you don’t know, and “hammering” it into what you do know, you’re projecting a lot of assumption, and seem to be very convincing to some newbies. I feel you’re doing them a disservice in that sense. By this I mean your references to absolute, psychedelics, meditation, learning, etc. You’re free to keep doing it, just thought I’d politely point it out.
  8. @Faceless Nonduality... no such thing as a fact. Every step one takes towards the absolute is a movement of thought? It would seem this way if one is yet to experience beyond thought. A direct experience of self changes not only one’s life, but all of reality, and is very different than what the word ‘experience’ means to one who has not.
  9. Just finished listening to this Audiobook course, Radiant Mind, Teachings and Practices to Awaken Unconditioned Awareness, and find it especially effective in guiding one towards the Nondual state. Peter Fenner has this talent of directing the mind into completely relaxed yet alert state. I get to experience the emptiness behind this character I take myself to be, it's like emptiness having an experience of being me and everything the body mind can perceive. Would love to find more programs like this that the author can talk you into experiencing Nonduality.
  10. The old spiritual paradigm is way outdated bro. I mean, they don't even address crystals, crystalline DNA, the physical location of the Akeoshic records, aliens and Pleiadians, golden escalators, prophetic predictions and dates, starseed activations for hundreds and hundreds of dollars, night clubs in heaven. This new age path of love is the only path! All that nonduality and self inquiry stuff is a bunch of old bullshit that doesn't work at all. Matt teaches non-duality, trust me, it's subtle, and I've watched literally every video he's made and read his book, the core of all his teachings are nondual. He goes for the feminine approach and caters to inferior ego structures, hence his audience is mostly women. It's not a "new" paradigm, the love path has been around for thousands of years too. Loving kindness is not new. Matt is very clever at branding with his message. Absolutely nothing he teaches is out of the ordinary or a new perspective. Once you read several hundred books on spirituality you'll see how fucking simple the message is. And eventually the battle will ensue to actually do the work instead of entertaining your ego with promises of a path that works.
  11. Reincarnation is true in duality; there are not two beings, only one, so no reincarnation of beings is taking place....and.....every being is actually the same being, so you could refer to past “lives” of the one being, and there could be ‘carry over’ in “lives”. In nonduality, there’s just you and nothing to resolve. Psychologically, when you’re aware of someone’s resistence from a painful experience, and you’re aware they’re not aware of the connection, reference to past lives can be one hell of a tool which circumvents the denial. Like, Jane has esteem issues, body image issues and confidence issues....”Jane, I see in a past life you witnessed many abuses to woman in World War Two when you were a first medical responder at outposts. You saw some really hurtful things and those memories may have carried over into this life subconsciously.” Jane may have such denial of being hurt in her past, such repression, that she is congnitively honestly unaware of the influence on her present emotions. Jane might feel relief that there is an explanation for the way she presently feels (albeit shady use of metaphysical perspective) and Jane might begin to be free enough o work through it. Not my favorite approach, but if it help, it helps.
  12. @okulele Just bask in the sweet peace and bliss of nonduality. It is nice to know!! Isn’t it?
  13. What you’re yet to realize is the profoundity of the intimacy, the ‘youness’ of consciousness - the identity. You talk about consciousness as if it were something other than you. After realization of nonduality, it is perfectly sensible that you infinite, would be any you finite. They are the same. There are no answers for this ‘level’ in the illusion, and everything you can sense, every word anyone says to you, = illusionary. The Truth is in you. The path is self discovery.
  14. @Mikael89 Just a note from my travels, but upon the first realization of nonduality, there was absolute clarity that thoughts are brain stuff (dream stuff) and the dream by and large is not a thought of the Being, but rather so far outside of what a brain could comprehend, because the brain is dream stuff. Direct experience from outside the brain is necessary, cause the Truth is incommunicable, and even if it wasn’t, it’s unbelievable - as in, no one could be expected to believe or fathom it. That, is death. Death is not a bad thing like society believes. But, you experience this, then try to tell people, and you just come off as arrogant, lying, ignorant, and someone starts talking about using it to justify suicide, etc. For one, crystal clear, for two - very messy.
  15. @Faceless You’re reiterating what I said. (“Loopy”....humor attempt...nonduality)
  16. I wrote a couple blog posts about this topic of reincarnation: http://www.engagednonduality.com/how-does-reincarnation-fit-with-nonduality-or-doesnt-it/ http://www.engagednonduality.com/is-awakening-a-way-to-avoid-reincarnation-liberation-from-the-wheel-of-birth-death/ The quick answer would be - there is no "me"...I was not born, and so will not die or be reborn. The question of reincarnation is only valid for one who identifies with being some one. Some one who is alive now and wonders if he or she will reincarnate. I am no one. I don't care if there is another life or not in the future, because there are other lives now. What I really am is as much you as the person named "Eric"...and so when "Eric" dies...there is still the game of playing you going on. There is no other...no separation.
  17. @Shroomdoctor Thanks for the help on the Notebook IOS / PC issue btw. We got that figured out ?? Yeah. You can do anything. I think you’re right on, that it is the nagging, resistant thoughts which we must practice being without. 2 sides of the coin sort of. Can’t just sweep em under the rug, and pretend they aren’t there. You really gotta look in the mirror and say that ain’t me. Those are eyes to see, and hands to do, but it ain’t me. I’m a little reluctant to like, list the events of “my” life. It’d surely appear as one big humble-brag. I respect the place you’re going with a mega thread on this. “Success” gets a bad wrap. IMO, there is nothing at all wrong with wanting to be massively successful, and expecting happiness to come from it. How else can one go full circle, and know the deeper truth than from direct experience? We’re ‘here’ for such a short ‘time’. Do it all, have it all, be it all, see it all, imo. It honestly is weird to me that you’re mentioning me in this way, because I don’t feel like ‘that guy’ in terms of success. To think that I have, or could inspire someone is what really keeps me going, keeps me focused. And I really really appreciate it right now. I’ve been working on a book for a very long time and I’m making great progress lately, and working on it now. So again, thanks a lot for mentioning me this way. Super nice of you. Having a nice nonduality moment, as I checked into the forum to zoom out from the writing for a few and saw your post..this was the last paragraph I wrote. It’s really two in the same I think, and I hope it’s taken as reciprocating the love... “Allow the realization to begin, that this illusion is not being done to you, it is being done by you, for you. If it is still hard to understand that indeed you are behind the whole thing, the earth, the sky, your person, the entire universe, all of it - this is simply because you are still identifying with beliefs. In your own experience, you were not born, you do not die, you are not “alive”, you are not separate from “God”, you are not, in actuality, separate from anything. There is only the perception of separation. There is a personal definition, a meaning you have assigned, to the word “God”. That connotation, that meaning and idea, is the very thing which prevents you from directly knowing “God”. You, through your illusion, present infinite opportunities to your person, limitless potential, endless imagination, unconditional love always- accessible incrementally - the problem - is worry, is doubt, is fear. To be rid of these limiting emotions, you must be rid of your limiting beliefs. To be rid of beliefs, you must make the distinctions between a belief, and your own experience. You must allow yourself to become aware that a belief has never been more than a thought you have been repeating. It is your beliefs, your having identified with “your person” as you, that is the root of your fears & doubts. Of course you would doubt yourself, of course you would create fear. You didn’t know. That was your intention, to veil yourself, and experience yourself as “other” - as separate & individual. As you have identified “you” with your body, you have mistaken your body, and all that is around it, as reality. It is not. You are reality, You are what is real. You are eternal. All your thinking & beliefs are not what you are, they do not define you, that is your illusion.” Everything we think and do parlays into the next experience so seamlessly, we don’t notice. A play on that old path saying....Consciousness work doesn’t really exist, but only a fool doesn’t do it. One person might work at a job, and sleep through their life, while another with the same job is doing consciousness work, doing the shadow work, doing the practices, taking the trips - they begin to become free and awaken, their mood is lifted, their attitude is lifted, their ego is understood and is being deconstructed. Others gravitate to this liberation, promotions are offered, partnerships with others who are driven are offered and....what dreams may come.
  18. @Shakazulu Anything is the illusion. Someone would even tell you that you don’t need to do a single practice. That you can fully realize nonduality right now. So, it’s your call. I vote go.
  19. No, it does not. You are misunderstanding what consciousness is. You haven't actually had a direct experience of what nonduality means. You're intellectualizing it. I know an enlightened master who took 1000ug of LSD after his enlightenment to test himself. He was unable to tell the difference between night and day. But his grounding in Nothingness was unshaken. Consciousness isn't a product of the brain. The brain is a form within consciousness, and as consciousness is the only thing there is, it is self-interactive. A rock hitting you in the head and causing a bruise is consciousness (a rock) interacting with consciousness (your head) causing a change in consciousness (a bruise).
  20. No, that’s religion / dogma. Instead, Self inquiry. Direct experience. The only worth of spirituality is a means to directly experiencing the truth, nonduality. Realize you’re adding the negative value, and don’t attempt anything. You are justifying your negativity here, while claiming no meaning / meaninglessness. Read what you wrote as if someone else wrote it. Dualities....desirable, not desirable. Positive, negative. Spiritual, not spiritual. Thinking won’t resolve any of this for you. The thinking reinforces the llusion. It’s completely contingent on it, until it isn’t at all. Being - is without thinking.
  21. @SteveRogers Nice. Sounds like you had a great time. My speculation is that you experienced nonduality, and there was not enough practices and or theory (foundation) for integration. Thanks for sharing your experience! There really is nothing serious going on here, meanings and whys are brain stuff. Might have some false views to realize, and maybe you take things a little too seriously in general too. To experience what you did, even considering things appear serious again, is still great.
  22. Every teacher today push strict nonduality, no such thing as a personal soul. Most of us feel that we have a soul, even though we don't believe in such an entity. I am a strict nonduality beleiver as Well. But isn't it strange that there is no alternative spiritual narrative, just like in religion, where Islam and Christianity are huge movements along with other big religions. After all, individual souls might be possible within nonduality, think about it ONE being that split itself up in infinite eternal souls. But no major spiritual movement push This narrative. We are not bodies, But we might have a soul that temporarily inbhabits one body at the time. Not that I beleive in that. But the consensus paradigm in spirituality seem so dominating. No debate really, only different names for the same thing, Brahman, infinity, nonduality, oneness, etc. Isn't This strange? Could it be that the strict nondual narrative that Leo, Rupert Spira, Martin Ball push is a trend and that the future might offer more colorful approaches including privata souls for example?
  23. https://www.actualized.org/forum/topic/17747-nonduality-meditations/#comment-181291 Breathe Awareness Meditation Stress is an extremely unhealthy condition. It causes the body to release the chemical cortisol, which has been shown to reduce brain and organ function, among many other dangerous effects. Modern society inadvertently encourages a state of almost continuous stress in people. This is a meditation that encourages physical and mental relaxation, which can greatly reduce the effects of stress on the body and mind. Sit still and pay close attention to your breathing process. Take a reposed, seated posture. Your back should be straight and your body as relaxed as possible. Close your eyes, and bring your attention to your breathing process. Simply notice you are breathing. Do not attempt to change your breath in any way. Breath simply and normally. Try to notice both the in breath and the out breath; the inhale and the exhale. "Notice" means to actually feel the breathing in your body with your body. It is not necessary to visualize your breathing or to think about it in any way except to notice it with your somatic awareness. Each time your attention wanders from the act of breathing, return it to noticing the breath. Do this gently and without judgment. Remember to really feel into the act of breathing. If you want to go more deeply into this, concentrate on each area of breathing in turn. Here is an example sequence: 1. Notice how the air feels moving through your nostrils on both the in breath and the out breath. 2. Notice how the air feels moving through your mouth and throat. You may feel a sort of slightly raspy or ragged feeling as the air moves through your throat. This is normal and also something to feel into. 3. Notice how the air feels as it fills and empties your chest cavity. Feel how your rib cage rises slowly with each in breath, and gently deflates with each out breath. 4. Notice how your back expands and contracts with each breath. Actually feel it shifting and changing as you breath. 5. Notice how the belly expands outward with each in breath and pulls inward with each in breath. Allow your attention to fully enter the body sensation of the belly moving with each breath. 6. Now allow your attention to cover your entire body at once as you breath in and out. Closely notice all the sensations of the body as it breathes. Repeat this sequence over and over, giving each step your full attention as you do it. Suggested time is at least 10 minutes. Thirty minutes is better, if you are capable of it. If you find yourself distracted by a lot of mental chatter, you can use verbal labeling as an aid to concentration. For example, on the in breath, mentally say to yourself, "Breathing in." On the out breath, say, "Breathing out." Another possibility is to mentally count each breath That’s good for relaxation and letting go. Learning to let go of the concerns we carry reveals to us we added them. Practicing mindfulness is practicing not adding them again. Anxiety is a false understanding and view of one’s self. It is chronic “serious person & serious reality ness”. That would take more intense practices.
  24. This probably sounds like nonduality snobbery, but my life doesn’t have a purpose. It is the purpose.
