@Bryanbrax Psychedelics help inhibit areas of brain that give one a sense of self. Similarly, people with traumas to those brain areas sometimes get same effect, and I know a couple of people with conditions like Multiple Sclerosis that got awakened from the neurological changes in the brain tissue due to the condition. -

@SoonHei hmmm My guru's highest wisdom is fear. I had awakened to infinite love last November. That was caused by fear. (Because of a dream) In between the two is knowledge. Without knowledge you won't fear. You can shuffle all three~ »Go look up Dhūl-Nūn al-Misry« -

From my understanding in old days title Guru was given to people who where Awakened. They teach only few selected students. And Acharya is one who is well versed in a skill that he teaches, it maybe yoga, astronomy astrology, fighting, using weapons etc. But now these titles dosent mean anything you can find many fake people using Guru and Acharya in front or back of name. -

Sartre, Camus, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard etc. were basically existentialists. They talked about these same topics because existentialism is just that - philosophy of human existence. But it's still philosophy. Still thinking. They understood nothingness but never witnessed it. Berkeley was awakened for sure. Also I think Spinoza got it too. -
Leo Gura replied to Monkey-man's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
None of those folks were awakened except the Buddha. It's very rare for a Western philosopher to be awakened. Heraclitus, Plotinus, Berkeley, and Hegel were some of the few I think were awakened. Buddha-nature/Buddha-mind is God. Nirvana is God. -

Philosophy is just mental masturbation, none of them were actually awakened. That requires going withing and doing self-inquiry, among other things. Buddha knew very well that God existed but he had his good reasons why he didn't discuss it. -
If many greatest philosophers of last centuries were awakened (presumably were coz to write metaphysics etc one must be awakened to the true nature of reality), why then many of them were atheists? Let’s say Sartre who wrote ‘Being and Nothingness’, Camus seemed to be awakened, Nietzsche who claimed his awakening in Zarathustra and many many others. All were atheists though discussed God, Being, Nothingness a lot. If let’s say awakening equals God-realisation then what made them to deny God after awakening? And what does their denial mean? If we go further why Buddha also denied discussion of God if awakening = God?

So i just stumbled upon this guy called "David Goggins", and watched this interview: Pretty cool interview and all, but what would happen if this guy awakened to the truth? I honestly don't feel like he did all of this, if anything out of pure authenticity. It seems like he's been through a lot of pain, and ran away from it like a madman, and i feel like that's the only thing that fueled him to get to this place. He definitely looks healthy and young for his age, but i don't know about his psychological state. I think he's holding up a big mask. I mean, the title of his book is called "can't hurt me". That doesn't sound healthy to me at all. What do you think?

It's encouraging that there are those who are awakened enough so are aware of the absolute nonsense of it. Liberation from self suffering is a simple expression of being present, all this chatter serves as more of a distraction from it than a guide to it. -

Well from reading this I'm probably not going to bother with the show because even if its creators are awakened or highly conscious - if they are portraying a character that isn't then it's probably not worth my time. -
This is more of a question for Leo's forum but also to myself. I'm justing reviewing my consciousness work so far, and also notably where Leo is going, following his deeper and deeper insights and awakenings. What is the ultimate destination with this? What do people want out of this consciousness work? I have days where I'm skipping out of bed into my day with a huge smile on my face because I have got it, like really got life and I feel really awakened and full of love but then, this passes. I have a life purpose which interestingly seems to mirror this work. Is it about enjoying the moment, what is and the completion that comes with this, embodying the Truth. Or is it something else?

pluto replied to Sempiternity's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
All those who emit the most Light will be targeted by those who dwell in the Darkness. Its simply an ego-defense mechanism. If you are consumed by the Ego you won't notice the Light within yourself so you will naturally and unconsciously target those who represent the Light within you and the Ego targets them because it cannot differentiate between your Light/Truth/True-Nature and Theirs as Light only has one face, one eternal energy signature. It is upset and hurt you left it all alone in the darkness. Like i said, its a simple defense mechanism indicating you need much more work on your self because if you were truly awakened to your true nature, you wouldn't need anything other than your own sight to know who is genuine and who is not because you see right through everything and know and feel from directness of being itself. I honestly see more genuine energy from people like Mooji and Eckhart than Sadhguru for example. Learn to "see" and "feel" with true sight and awareness. -
I think Leo will look a lot like this guy when he is older, minus the hair. He's a clairvoyant healer who grew up in the town I live in back in the 1800's. I read his book and had an awakening shortly after finding the old foundation of the house he built here. He awakened through the help of mesmerism and several mesmerists but there was a lot of confusion for him with as little information as they had then. Pretty cool.

As with schadenfreude, I've seen layers of passive aggressiveness in myself. I've seen this a lot in families that are around blue/orange especially. Parents and grandparents in families spreading fear to keep a handle on children. They were raised in fear and guilt and just pass it on. Even among educated people this happens. This never quits creating problems. It requires seeing all the way through to forgive a Parent who is this way. That's a tall order because there is usually several years of anger, guilt, confusion, etc., to work through. Its horrible what family members do to each other. It's just more sleep. Everyone suffers. Everyone is off balance. An Awakened family member can also eventually lead the others out of hell. But sometimes not.

Nahm replied to Paul92's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Paul92 It’s a bit like you’re saying “having run a marathon”... wasn’t as good as you figured it would be....never having run a 5k. You have an idea of what it feels like to have employed the discipline of training & diet control, increased your run each day, learned how to rejuvenate muscles so you can keep going, overcome the mental barriers to realize that second, third, fourth wind, etc. You have an idea of what having run a marathon is, and as long as you confuse your idea for the actuality, you suffer in your claims of having run a marathon. It doesn’t feel good because it’s not true. No need to blame the marathon, that only feels worse. You don’t have to suffer, you can admit you have not awakened, you have not had an enlightening experience, you have not implemented daily disciplines, and all the way back to when this started, you can honestly admit to yourself you never actually knew what you were talking about. I say this knowing the relief in honesty & transparency, the letting go & relaxation of “I don’t know”, the liberation of authenticity. You could run the marathon and see what it’s actually like. Until then, can you see that you are speculating, worrying yourself sick defending an idea? Have you noticed the tendency for others in that idea boat to commiserate? I believe you 100% that the joy is found in helping people, appreciating their uniqueness, etc - so why would you be spreading worry, doubt & fear? To the best of my estimation, you don’t think you are, because you believe your idea so intimately, you’ve identified with it and therefore feel the need to defend and validate it. Perhaps that is what does not resonate, does not feel good? Perhaps it is the absolute very best of you, which we all share. Maybe discovering more of your awesomeness, and sharing that, is a recipe for an even deeper joy as you recognize it in all of us. Ultimately, you are happiness, you are peace, you are love. Let the thinking & conceptualizing go, practice, so that you may feel Truth. Align with the entirety of you, via honesty & authenticity, and sticking with the actuality of direct experience. How can you be the Light, yet reduce us, something so amazing & beautiful, to “robots”, and expect that to feel good? It will never work. Surrender all that. Master letting go. Not conceptualizing. -

@Leo Gura Do you know of any individuals that have awakened through Kriya without being initiatiated or handheld by someone else? -
Aakash replied to inFlow's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
nahm there is currently no difference between me and a table in my direct experience that means your no more awakened than me. LOL because you are me and i am you. I feel like i'm in the centre of a black hole LOL Like there is my consciousness (i) consciousness saying that this is (i) as consciousness slapping its hand on the humans chest saying this is (i) but it is refering to the consciousness do we all have that "i" because it is the same I or do i need to get rid of the "i" the key feature is ... i have no knowledge structure. I simply don't know anything. so its the only thing i can be sure about lol. no enlightenment, no awakening, no omniscient consciousness, LOL i'm literally using words to talk to myself, like what question could i ask you possibly, when you are me. about whether I have reached the absolute. When i am myself typing in the absolute with words, on a computer. This is it lol, the middle of a dualities. it can be all possibilities, illusion and eal , illusion or real , neither etc.. etc.. because duality itself doesn't exist LOL its a pair that doesn't exist, neither of the sides of the equations. -
@Natasha How 'awakened' her vagina is. Women with a well-toned vagina walls will want more sex and enjoy it better. The higher "you" vibrate, the more well toned the walls become Remember, your always shifting.

@billiesimon Sex for women is an emotional thing first, physical second. Thus foreplay starts way before the bedroom action. Her testosterone level - the higher the level, the higher her sexual drive. How 'awakened' her vagina is. Women with a well-toned vagina walls will want more sex and enjoy it better, resulting in big Os under 5-10 mis every time. There are exercises that a woman can do to keep it toned up down there. Aakash replied to kieranperez's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@kieranperez and this is why leo says you only become fully awakened after you understand truth= love after enlightenment, it flips back on itself. and relative beliefs become completely true. Still you need to be critical and think about what you should trust and what you should not. However, you are no longer asking yourself "what is the truth" because EVERYTHING IS TRUTH AND NOTHING IS TRUTH. they collapse and true non-duality is formed -
I wanted to share this quote I heard the other day. I can't even remember where I heard it to be honest, but think it was Ramaji. He was talking about when you are truly awakened, there is no need to continue to seek anything. I loved it. This isn't verbatim, but close enough to get it across. "When one truly awakens and materialism dissipates, so does spirituality. Spirituality is the antidote to materialism. Once we are cured of the disease, there is no longer a need to continue to take the medicine"

Yeah he got awakened a few years ago and has been not so subtly vocal about it. His speech at Maharishi University is really a beautiful thing to watch/listen. Love this man. -

Crystals associated with the higher chakras such as crown and third eye makes you spiritually awakened or enlightened. I tend to believe third eye crystals open my spiritual eye. My favorite third eye crystals are moonstone, selenite and clear quartz. Crown chakra on the other hand tones my intuitions. I like to use amethyst, selenite and howlite for crown chakra therapy. Have you seen an apophylite? Do you have one?
