Truth Addict replied to Inliytened1's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That does not neglect what David experienced. You are telling the truth, and he is. God loves you both. Radical open-mindedness and Absolute Infinity, keep those in mind. Peace, my nice friend Dave ❤️ -

@Inliytened1 Truth is not exclusive, you're talking about open-mindedness, but you're forgetting to be open-minded about the validity and value of other ways to enlightenment as well. For you, God materialised in a form of mystical experience of infinite love and intelligence etc... For David, God materialised in a form of the ultimate being that can be realised by logic and reason, and probably David means something different from our concept of logic and reason. God is one, and It's every one. The God that cannot be reached through the mind (logic and reason) is not the true God, because true God is infinite and is Formless. True God is boundless, we shouldn't try to limit God by our individual experiences. -

@Mikael89 Actually, I like David, and I respect him. -

And yet, you are not accepting that others such as "Inliytened1" are enlightened as well. You'd say that you're just saying your opinion honestly without being suppressed, and that's fine. Still, the joke's on you for not being open-minded enough to admit the validity of other methods of finding God, such as psychedelics. You'd say that you admit their validity and blah blah, but you are causing discomfort to others. You'd say that they shouldn't be offended and that they have more work to do and blah blah, and they'd say the same thing about you. In my opinion and experience, the best thing to do in such situations is to drop the discussion immediately and let the other side reflect on what I've said, because we've reached a dead end in our discussion, and keeping going with it won't yield anything for anyone. Agreed? @Anna1 @Shin I verify that. I sent David a message three days ago, and he never replied. -

@Inliytened1 Well, that's something neither one of you can decide. You have different definitions of enlightenment, because you've learned different teachings. Go ask a master and he will settle this for both of you. But the bottom line is that as long as both of you are happy, then why all the bickering back and forth? Truth is subjective after all, why are you both trying to make it an object to agree upon? It sounds like every single religious war: "my perspective is the one true perspective". Just drop it, you're both right. -

@Buba No, you have to stop wanting to change completely. It does not matter what you call it, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, etc... Fear is the root issue that you should work on, or rather not work on, but take immediate action and face your fears. What's the worst thing that could happen? What are your worst fears? Acknowledge them, accept them, embrace them, and then face them, one at a time. Everything you want is on the other side of fear. ❤️ @David Hammond Yeah, like I needed your confirmation in the first place, Master ? ? ❤️ -

That's confusing the relative for the absolute. I don't know if you're doing this deliberately, but it's a big fallacy. You have to provide proof for your assumptions, or else you must not be taken seriously. David is asking for evidence of your assumptions about him, not for what you say about God. Only God (The Absolute) is beyond proof, that's something else, so don't play that card my friend. -

@Gabriel Antonio I'll remove you twice if you ever do that again ? ? -

Give up trying to change. You won't lose anything, in fact, you will find yourself. I've had a strong OCD in the past, and I have overcome it. The only thing that worked for me was to accept that I am destined to be stuck with OCD for the rest of my life. I said: "fuck it, there's no hope, I give up, I surrender. I don't want to change, I don't want to become anything, I just want peace". In some sense, part of me died. Interestingly enough, only after that, change started to happen and it was/is effortless. I hope that gives you hope, I mean destroys all remaining hope for you ? ❤️ -
@non_nothing I forgot to mention that the background noise can affect your mood. Plus, obviously the temperature is important too.
-
@non_nothing Your room is haunted! No, seriously, I think it has to do with the weather of your room and home in general. Maybe the air is not fresh enough, therefore not enough O2. Maybe the humidity in your room is causing you discomfort, therefore not enough focus. Maybe the sun is not permeating well, therefore not enough wakefulness. Maybe the temperature is not so great, therefore not enough relaxation. Maybe you're just used to not doing anything serious at home, therefore not enough motivation. If you can't seem to find the problem, then I think it's better to move, because the problem won't simply just go away. I also think that @Flatworld Crusades has some great ideas, maybe try them out.

@David Hammond Oops, you spelled "enlightened" incorrectly as well. Therefore you have no idea what enlightenment is. LOL ? -

@Serotoninluv I see what you mean, you're talking about me, not the ego me, but the raw experience of me, without me ? It still doesn't help. I have to practice more. -
Truth Addict replied to Inliytened1's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Serotoninluv Yes, maybe. But what good does it do for me? It's still just a belief from my perspective. -

The thing is that I don't know, so I can't even say you're right. Maybe duality is correct. ? -

@Inliytened1 @zeroISinfinity Okay, just be careful here, you're talking about his personal experiences from your assumptions, if I had to choose then I'd choose to believe him because he's closer to himself than you are to him. I saw him refusing to say anything about his enlightenment, but that's not a problem, he explained why, and I was convinced, he could easily have copied and pasted anything he read before to prove his point, but he didn't. I think he actually knows what he is talking about. Why do you want him not to be so? -
Truth Addict replied to Inliytened1's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Inliytened1 @zeroISinfinity hmmm. From my understanding, you don't necessarily need to have a mystical experience to know what God is. Yes, it's a cool experience and everything, but is it really necessary for enlightenment? I'd say no, because enlightenment has so many degrees, with not a single one above the other. After all, life itself is a mystical experience, right? Let's wait and see what David has to say. -

@Angelite I don't know, in the Quran there is a clear duality between God (creator) and everything else (creation). Islam in its purest from is not pantheistic. Ask all the scholars in Muslim history. I don't know which one is correct, yet. -

@Inliytened1 You're right Dave (I'd like to use your actual name if that's okay). You and David are talking about the same thing from different angles, due to different teaching methods, that's all. David was talking about integrating mystical experiences with mundane life 'samsara'. He's done with enlightenment as an understanding of God and the self (theory), and right now working on the practical side of it (practice). So, basically that's also what you're trying say right (Inliytened1)? I assume David is having a hard time actualising his realisations in the mundane everyday life, that's why he's projecting that on us here. I hope I'm understanding you correctly @David Hammond -
@Aeris Yes, I know. The difference is though that I was/am aware of that, therefore I control it instead of it being controlling me, no free will though. Whereas they who think everything is a hallucination are stuck in their lives, because they forget to reflect 'hallucinations' on their own beliefs, therefore they are not aware of their own ignorance.

@Mezanti Exactly! ?? That should tell you something, that those wise ass people aren't at stage Yellow yet, and they claim it already by being spiritual and by spitting spiritual wisdom/beliefs. A tier two individual is also known as a Spiral Wizard, who can easily move down the spiral to make better communication with lower stages. They are so unconscious of their ignorance that they don't realise that what they say is a reflection of their own issues at a specific point. "You don't exist" means that "I am struggling with that concept, so I will project it onto others and convince myself and others that I have done the work and that I am Enlightenment". (I intended using the noun instead of the adjective, that's my private joke with my brother ?).
