Truth Addict replied to Gili Trawangan's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Nahm I have stopped pursuing Truth. I know what is true, but I don't know what you guys talk about. Although I kind of know, it's the sense of wonder and not recognising the things as mundane anymore, but rather as magical. I want that feeling because I am just a human being. Right now, I don't feel no bliss and no suffering. Just a neutral feeling of peace. I love you too ❤️ even though I don't feel the kind of romantic love I imagine "enlightened" people feel. Just a neutral feeling of love, not a feeling of high anyway. -

@Gili Trawangan Truth has value only because we're deluded. If we weren't, it wouldn't mean anything to us. Truth is not blissful, nor horrible. Truth is just True. Meanings are being attached to Truth from the human perspective because we're still deluded. The ultimate Truth is Nothingness, and that is death. -
@Rebec Happiness can only be found right now. The future is an illusion, and expectations are never true because they're mere thoughts and fantasies. So, it's not even possible to pursue happiness to begin with because it's already right here, while most people aren't able to see it. The very act of pursuit will only get you further from happiness. If you stop expecting and chasing you will find it. And of course, you can still work for the future, chase success and whatever you like, only now from a more powerful place, which is peace and acceptance. I also agree with what @mandyjw said. She did greatly explain happiness from a different perspective.

It is. Or else many people would have gone suicidal from depression. I'm not sure, but I get the vibe that many of you think that survival is bad or something. -
@Bill W Dude! Honesty is just straightforward truth. Stop being so Yellow!
-
@chudders I believe you started meditating. In my experience, after 3 hours of walking meditation in nature, I reach the point of not caring about anything anymore, I even laugh at myself for caring so much earlier. Perhaps you want to give it a try. That's one way. The other way is holotropic breathing: But be careful with the latter. It can be dangerous.

@Rebec You can still expect things but you don't have to invest your emotions in them. Expect on the intellectual level, and be detached on the emotional level. It's possible!

@Bill W Deep and complex thinking is a stage Yellow quality I think it still is beneficial to find the commonalities between the factors and conclude them in very short and precise sentences so that they become easier to remember. It helps me a lot. Whenever I need to know what to do, I just remind myself of the sentences, and then they take care from there on. To me, 100% honesty has solved many many problems. Of course it does not necessarily have to be a 100% with others, but it certainly must be 100% with yourself. Since all problems are imaginary = lies. Then honesty must be the cure.

Of course ?

@d0ornokey Propaganda, like the link you posted. Of course I don't mean that you are the propaganda, but that's how it works, it's driven by fear for the most part. It's kind of clear to me how these things work. Having a decent awareness of the global politics is good. 5G gives the ability to controlling huge amounts of missiles, and it can be used to perform hacking attacks and collect all the information so quickly and then disappear without the other end even noticing, and to monitor large geographical areas through satellites. Technology is the greatest source of power right now. How do you think ISIS is still persistent?

@mmKay You're the average of the 5 people whom you spend most of your time with. Or so they say. I'm sorry for posting on your journal. Tell me to stop if this is inappropriate.

@Bill W Thank you so much for the insights. I have never thought this much about open-mindedness. I personally like to keep things simple. To me, open-mindedness basically boils down to two main things: Being humble. Being willing to learn. Humility comes either from deep suffering, or from love and compassion. Willingness to learn comes from the desire to grow and satisfy the self and others. Also, I'd like to stress the importance of meditation and mindfulness practices. They can be of great value to your everyday life, and their benefits have no end. And as for the forgetfulness, I think it's fine. Everyone loses focus from time to time, just observe, acknowledge, and be honest with yourself. Everything will work itself out for ya! ❤️

He's teaching how preaching works

@mmKay Why do you think having a big vision is a necessity? Have you considered that you might just want to live a very simple life? Have you considered that this might be your authentic self? For me, I'm planning on earning a certain amount of money (I'm 22 years old now, I should be done at 35-40), and then start investing it in many different places, and then just sit back and enjoy life without having to work anymore.

Actually, I don't even want to try. Keep doing what you're doing, and believing what you're believing, if that's what makes you happy. To me, you seem very peaceful and happy. Don't believe the other guys here, they believe that they're above beliefs somehow, but they're wrong. Bless up! ❤️ -

@Soul-lover 2020 I like you. But I disagree with you. -
@d0ornokey I believe everything is being said about 5G is nonsense and propaganda. 5G is a Chinese technology which, if given the time and space, will turn the world upside down. Think about the spying that can happen using this technology. And remember that it's controlled by China. Think about the political and economical effects that this technology has. The USA is trying so hard to get the world to hate the 5G. That's why I believe it's just propaganda.

SELF-IMPROVEMENT FORUM. Read that once again. I see a lot of people here always getting offended and then getting defensive about themselves, like someone is trying to hurt them. Well, guess what. You're stuck. You, yes you. Specifically, the one who thinks that they are above and excluded from this. This place is not meant to be a place for rainbows and unicorns. If you want those things, then go get a best friend, a girlfriend/boyfriend, a wife/husband, whatever. Those are the people who are supposed to provide you with comfort. You have to understand that we are here to learn, and help each other learn. Stop being a victim and take responsibility for your expectations. Nobody here is against you, nobody here is trying to hurt you, you are the only obstacle, because you are not willing to learn. I'm not saying you can't make friends here. Human connection is essential, and relationships are important and beautiful. There is not a single rule in this forum against forming relationships, you can certainly find friends here who share your interests. But you have to understand that this is not THE place for those things, Facebook, for example, is. This is a place for developing yourself as an individual human being, learning about yourself, learning about others, learning about the world, learning, learning, learning, and most importantly, learning. If you want to become the best version of yourself, then drop your defences, stop resisting, and start taking criticism and appreciating it. In fact, the most growth comes from criticism, since our views are always partial. However, if you don't want to become the best version of yourself, then keep your mind closed, reject every single piece of advice or criticism that comes your way, and keep defending yourself and your ideas mindlessly. This feminine soft love that you love to receive can only take you so far. True growth requires integration of masculine love as well. Both feminine and masculine are parts of you, deny one and suffer. I'm not saying I am perfect. I myself am still learning how to integrate my feminine side, and I'm learning how to become more careful with my communications with others, whether here or in the real life. And I clearly still have a lot to learn. I hope some of you will add to what I said so I can broaden my understanding and perspective, and so that others can benefit more. Now, there are two options... You can either reject everything I said here, stay in your comfort zone, keep your mind closed, and argue with me about this. Or, you can listen to me as if I'm your best friend who wants the best for you and is trying to help you out of this trap that we all can fall prey to it from time to time. Your choice. P.S. the truth is that which you hate the most. P.S. It's the ego that is feeling threatened and resisting criticism.

Thank you again but LOL ? I assume the last was Tom laughing? Cuz I changed it once more in your absence. Here: This was in between.. It's me half enlightened Or are you actually referring to this one?

@Shadowraix You're welcome dude ❤️ @Flatworld Crusades Thanks! It's a picture I took 3-4 years ago. Was learning shutter speed and stuff.

@Flatworld Crusades Thanks to you I've learned a lot out of the discussions. I don't know about others but I believe they've learned somethings as well. There is. Growth happens through experience, it doesn't matter our classification of it. You think the negatives grow you because you want to grow in some specific areas. While in fact, every new experience is a lesson and growth. Same thing. You're attaching growth to humiliating and deconstructing the ego. But that's half true, you're forgetting the growth that happens out of constructing the ego. In fact, both must be worked out simultaneously, or else we will grow crippled. Also, be careful not to die chasing growth. We can't force growth. We can only gamble with our lives. Or more precisely, we are always gambling, we have no clue how anything will ever turn out to be.

Yesterday was a backslide. I haven't studied a word (only 2 pages to be honest). I was so exhausted of working, and I lost focus. I needed to rest so bad. I'll make sure I don't work myself out in the following weeks. I need every single bit of energy dedicated for studying. Studying has to become priority number one. Everything else must become a cherry on top. ... I'm having nice discussions here on the forum. I feel like I belong here. I also find that my advice is becoming more appreciated over time. That's a great sign of emotional development. I used to offend people with my advice, and still do to some degree. It's nice to feel appreciated and helpful. That motivates me for more growth. I can't stress how much growth journaling can offer. 4 days in and the results are just AMAZING! I keep coming back to the same conclusion: CHANGE IS ALWAYS VITAL FOR GROWTH. NEW EXPERIENCES GROW YOU THE MOST.

I don't believe that, I know that it's just a paradigm and I jump between paradigms pragmatically. The materialist paradigm is good for the practical life (external). The consciousness paradigm (dream paradigm) is good for happiness (internal). I'm not attached to either of them. I meditate at least 2×30 mins a day. I'm very happy and calm. Of course, but I don't have the instruments. I don't have access to psychedelics, I don't have enough time to self-inquire all day long or to go on a retreat, and I don't have the money to travel somewhere else. I'm 22 years old, I'm still studying/working.

Well I did. It's not that resistance creates suffering, but rather that they're actually the same thing. When I resist anything at all, including paradise, I suffer. And so is happiness and everything else. Everything that happens is part of survival. Survival is not exclusive to suffering. The imaginary self can attach itself to all sorts of things, and therefore suffer for them. It's all about perspective and preferences. You said earlier that the purpose of survival is to ensure living a long life. But the physical survival is not the same thing as the egoic survival. The egoic survival can hinder/enhance the physical survival in many different ways. So, just to be clear. Are we discussing physical or egoic survival here? We're talking in relative terms.
