  1. @Joseph Maynor I see consciousness as a watcher, a judge that makes observations but never interferences nor gets its hands dirty. Dirty work is for the devils, and I don't think any amount of consciousness can keep it under control, at least not right now. I prefer to focus on my personal life.
  2. Because we are not God. Can't get more obvious.
  3. @Shadowraix We're talking about discovering truth here, not taking it for granted. I'm sorry, but from what you've written, it seems to me like you haven't yet discovered no free will vs free will for yourself, but rather have read it somewhere and liked the idea. Which is not to say that it's a problem of course. But I don't think taken-for-granted-ideas will do anything here. I could be wrong though. However, no free will is just evident as the sun in plain sight. When no free will is realised fully, there will come the benefits I mentioned earlier without even trying, and much more, and without having to skip responsibility. Keep in mind that most irresponsible people don't usually place no free will as their first/strongest arguments.
  4. @Aakash Sometimes it can heal you directly. Sometimes it can't and work is needed.
  5. Well, if we don't have that specific model in mind, we will just have another. You see the problem here? We can either have myopic models or very accurate ones. Some benefits of no free will: No blame for oneself or other. No regrets, worries, fears. No need for stress, struggle, manipulation. Surrendering to reality with/without suffering. Forgiveness of the past, peace with the present moment, openness to the future. I think most importantly is living without neuroses.
  6. @kieranperez Egos don't have free will, otherwise everyone would be able to make the rain fall and trees grow immediately, everyone would have infinite powers, etc... But that would lead to disasters since opposite free wills. Only God has free will. The ego has a will, and it's not free, but rather it's bounded to God's will. In fact, it's stupid to dismiss such a question. This question has a lot of real life benefits. And a better model is not beneficial? What about Spiral Dynamics?
  7. @Nahm It was more of a compliment, quality is relative.
  8. @Nahm Just because you are good at writing does not make it true. And yes I know what is true. You are in no place to talk about what I know.
  9. @Inliytened1 Why do you think the truth must be spoken? Who said that? Truth does not care if it was spoken or not, but the ego does. Not that there's something wrong with the ego or anything, but why deny that fact? Be aware of the subtle judgements you make.
  10. @Inliytened1 I'm not saying you are here to defend some ideas. I'm saying that you are doing that unconsciously. It's okay to admit it buddy. You want to help others, and that's cool, but also it's your ego (survival). You are subtly judging ego as a bad thing, thinking that you are God in human form which makes you superior to others. You think that awakening is good and being a devil is bad, and you believe that you aren't a devil. You still have the sense of morality that is similar to stage Blue. And you are still in duality land: God is good and devil is bad. Maybe I'm wrong with everything I said about you. Maybe it's just me projecting onto you. But it doesn't hurt to double-check
  11. @Inliytened1 I haven't watched your video to be honest, and I'm not planning to. Although I've watched Leo's series nonduality debunks materialism long ago. It does not matter to me the source of the ideas, they are just ideas and you're defending them. And then you think that you must. Isn't that you attaching yourself to an identity? For what? For your ego's survival of course. I don't see how you are liberated in any possible way. You're reacting to my comments all the time, or at least that's how it seems. If that is liberation, I don't want it. And I'm not suppressing my emotions, perhaps I was bad at communicating some of my ideas.
  12. A thought. @Inliytened1 Stop trying to classify me in your little categories. I am not an agnostic. This does not seem like love or liberation. Sorry buddy.
  13. @Inliytened1 Since you've skipped my question twice, and considering chess language: checkmate! To your question: what are you talking about specifically?
  14. @DrewNows The truth is that I don't know. That's what I know. Everything is mysterious and that's okay. They are the ones who claim knowledge of God, not me. Perhaps it's not possible to know. Then again, perhaps not. @Inliytened1 Here's the thing my friend, I am comfortable with being an ego. You aren't. How are God's plans going for you? Why deny the ego? You're still stuck in duality land without even knowing, that's what I was pointing out to you. It's okay to admit that you are an ego.
  15. I'm not trying to do anything actually. Just not resisting/suppressing whatever I feel.
  16. @Inliytened1 Actually, you didn't answer. That's a bad move.
  17. @Inliytened1 I respect your age. I'm just expressing what I am.
  18. Why? Everything is perfect either way. That's your ego at work.
  19. @Inliytened1 Not to oppose you, but rather to offer a different perspective. For all the Spiritualists: You are alone. Why are you preaching to others?
  20. @Danioover9000 It definitely could be, since control and future are illusions. We're gambling here, what better horse would you be betting on?
  21. @zeroISinfinity The joy and love are perceived by the limited ego. God is neutral.
