Not for me, really. I don't like wars. Although I do like death. Death is happiness. Good luck buddy!

If you didn't have a phone anymore, would you still be addicted to it? Your addictions exist because you have access to them. Remove the access, and they will be gone. I don't mean throw out your phone and unsubscribe from internet services completely. I mean try that for let's say a month, and you will find yourself free from them.

@kieranperez I've been there, and I wish you good luck. You really need it.

@kieranperez TRUTH is not the point. Truth is all that is. It doesn't require understanding. Ego, on the other hand, requires understanding of the Truth for its own purposes. That's the deeper layer that Leo is (dis)missing. Sure, ego is part of the truth. But that's exactly the point, it's just a part, it's partial, and therefore limited. That might seem like a contradiction, or that I am the egoic one here. Not at all. What is, is that we all want happiness at the end of the day. No matter what we do in life, it's all (at least thought to be) directed towards achieving happiness. Even noble concepts like "Truth's sake", etc... are only means towards finding happiness, if we're talking about the deepest levels. Transcendence of the mind is required in order to get there. That's how you align yourself with God. You know what you want, and then go for it.

Truth seekers are in hell until they transcend the mind.

No, it's not. It's a nondual thinking that required a dualistic tool (language). Beware of the labyrinths of the mind. I know. But what actually is the difference between the two? What differentiate being conscious of that fact from not? I mean, I could realise that I am the guru but still suffer. What is even the point of my realisation then? It becomes just a mental masturbation.

@LiberatedMonkey Great question! You're on the right track! Notice: Exactly! You got confused, so you asked. Your questions have to be genuine (authentic). That means they have to come from the deepest part of you: EMOTIONS. "What do you want?". That is the question.
-
@Leo Gura That's dualistic thinking. @Limbo No difference at all. You are the gurus. The question is: what do you truly want? The answer is: HAPPINESS.
-
I agree. Although there's a lot of value in these teachings as well. One has to start from where Leo started before they can get to the highest teachings. P.S. There is a subforum for video suggestions.

What annoys me the most is the people who speak for Leo and the mods as though they know them in person or actually understand the purpose(s) of Actualized.org. Just go to sleep guys. You're better off doing "the work" than telling others to do it, because from what you wrote, this forum is just a distraction. Also, notice the absolutist attitude that you have. You think/believe that you (feel free to include Leo and mods) know better than others, and you think that other perspectives are bs. Besides the fact that this is very arrogant, it also is an exquisite case closed-mindedness, and therefore it's the further perspective from the truth. One last and funny thing, is that this thread had to pop up again right after Leo's episode on authority. This is a great sign of people questioning the authorities without fear of rejection or inhibition from the common folk. You who are arguing that personal development takes work and effort, I don't need to spoonfeed you that some students are doing the work and that you're seeing the results in their complains about some decisions. Just because someone has more powers does not make them infallible.

@Aakash Another Maya. -
Was it really that boring?! LOL. I've worked as a sales representative for a year, and I hated it. @Rinne Yes. You can verify it.

@Aakash True. Now throw all that in the trash, because that's also Maya. Why look so far? Anyone should start with this simple question: am I happy? -

Don't fall for Maya. -
Today I have officially graduated to the fifth (out of six) year of college, after two consecutive years of failing. Finally, moving on with my life. The last 4-5 years of my life were the worst so to speak, but the best at the same time. I don't know how to explain, and I'm not sure I even want to. I'm just glad that that period now is over, and that I have learned a lot from it.

@mandyjw @DrewNows Been contemplating your posts, and lots of insights came to me. I love you both more than you could possibly imagine ❤️ I'm going to take a break from posting and from the internet in general. I'll try to embody all the insights that I've been receiving lately. Until then, may love and beauty surround you and may light guide you. And by you I mean me as well. ❤️

I have the perfect method. It's literally perfect actually. All you have to do is sit and relax, and repeat an internal mantra along the lines of: "everything is perfect, all is well, I accept this, I accept that, I love myself and others, etc..." After doing that for 5-10 minutes, the mind calms down, and it becomes the perfect time for some serious investigation.

@saffron You're on the edge of Green. Don't resist your own evolution. Have you watched Leo's new video on relativity? If we're praising survival, then we're putting death down. It's all relative.

Hi @arlin Perhaps @Joseph Maynor can help you with this. -
@Angelite Keep in mind that the thing that Mohammed was criticising about Christianity back then is that Christians interpreted their texts literally. Jesus taught his people that the relationship between God and humans is like the relationship between a father and his son: He is the father and I am the son. The mistake Christians did is that they believed that God literally had a son. Mohammed told them that all of that is metaphorical, and that God does not actually have a son. Islam was meant to make a correction for the interpretations of Christianity. It turned out to be the same. Most scholars interpret the Quran literally. And so here we are. Ironically, by interpreting the Quran literally, God must be male, since most verses refer to It as 'He' or 'Him'. .. You can certainly ask your guru, but why not ask Allah directly instead? He answered my prayers and showed me the Truth. He will answer your prayers too.

Nahm doesn't lock threads. At least not that I know of. -

@Shaun You're totally right! The truth that discounts the illusion is not the whole truth. -
@lostmedstudent That duality is just an assumption. You've separated perception into two categories; a perceived (object) and a perceiver (subject), right? But how do you know? That's why they say Truth cannot be communicated. Because to communicate something, we have to use a dualistic tool, such as language which is built on subject-object duality. This is something that you can verify through self-inquiry. Try to locate the perceiver, and see if you can find it. Or, try to locate the perceived, by looking at your hand for example, and see if you can separate it from anything else. It works both ways. You will eventually discover that there is nothing but perception/awareness without a perceiver, and that it's the same as the perceived phenomenon.
-
LOL. Maybe that's how it seems to you at the moment. In reality, it's not a thing. It's a no-thing. It cannot be perceived.
-
The perception is unique and different. The perceiver is one and the same.
