You take an apple, and imagine that it's a banana. That's how you deceive yourself, only in way sneakier ways. -

Actualized.org is clearly a brainwashing project. What do you expect? Funny how Leo repeats the same conclusions all the time, and then tell us to not believe it. I mean how tf is that possible? If you listen to ISIS's teachings enough times, they will start to make sense to you. Anyway, I accept this kind of brainwashing because I find Leo's teachings better than others. Better be brainwashed by love and compassion than hatred and selfishness. -

@assx95 Don't think of that as ego, or think of ego as a good thing that was created to protect you. Anyway, the way in is the way out. You must face your fears in order to become free of them. Things that could help you against your fears (give you more courage): Meditation. Deep contemplation into the nature of the fears. Following the train of thoughts that occur when fear arises. Example: I fear rejection if I say something personal about myself. The thoughts be like: I don't want to say this or that because that'll make me look stupid, and the other person will judge me, then they will reject me because I don't fit into their expectations (which I have no clue about), and then I will become lonely and miserable because I would have no relationships anymore. Conclusion: the fear is basically a fear of loneliness that is translated into misery, which is a personal projection, because in fact, solitude can be very beautiful. So, the solution is to question that train of thoughts wherever you think the problem resides. Nature can help you calm the mind (which can make other suggestions apply more easier). Shamanic breathing. Of course, watching videos on confidence and self-help stuff. Especially this one: And lastly, don't worry. We've all been there, and some still are -
Thank you for the information you provided. I'd gone through a depression that lasted for about 7 years. I never sought help, I was young and ignorant and on my own. The way it ended was incredible, and at the same time miserable. I just gave up on everything, and decided to let go. Ever since, everything has been changing for the better. I was taking life way too seriously, and I was very manipulative. I stopped that after realising how much me suffering it caused me. What helped me to boost my mood during that phase was free running in the morning at the park. Nowadays, my mood is always going up! The more I surrender, the more I find peace and happiness. I hope you don't mind me sharing my experience on your journal. If you find it disturbing even for a bit, or if it's unwelcome, please let me know and I will delete it right away. Following.

You guys are so misunderstanding nonduality. You're literally repeating the same mistake that religious people have made, taking the teachings literally. I can't blame you, that's the psychedelic version of the truth. (I DON'T MEAN THE OP) -
Moderate physically-exhausting jobs are the best jobs for a human being, or maybe just me. Office jobs are bad. Labour jobs are very bad. The best is mild and moderate, for example, house painting, even though it has its downsides in terms of health, but you can be careful and stay in the green. These kinds of jobs seem to me like how the healthy human physiology should be. I'm speaking from experience that I feel stable on every aspect and level after doing such work. My body tends to want more food, and it tastes way more too delicious than the usual. I stop have addictions anymore, I become completely free, until I get more time and space to slack off and get back to being addicted. I enter the vortex (merge) while I'm working, a very beautiful flow state, so free of ego and thought, that I forget about time and want it to never end. I mean if that isn't how the best life should be, then how should it be? Nothing compares to that.

The best thing to do, I find, is to find the most annoying people (my family) and listen to them from distance, and then catch myself judging everything they say (judgement meditation lol). Every time you catch yourself judging, you get closer to no-judgement. You will realise that it was all you. It feels freeing. @kag101 Kings of projection.

My friend.. Investment is better than donation. You create job opportunities for people with your money instead of giving them money for doing nothing. Think about how many job opportunities a McDonald's supply. Creating jobs is how you contribute better to society. The best use of money is to keep it running instead of locking and saving it for the future.

Don't fight the devil cuz it's no one else but you. Instead, become aware of it, watch it from distance, and let it do its job. That way, you'll keep the devil and your soul

@Jkris Actually, that is a great and precise explanation. Ego is the fake identity, which when completely dissolves, all suffering ends. That's the beginning of the enlightenment spectrum so to speak. It starts with the end of suffering, and ends with infinite levels of bliss. On the other hand, complete permanent no-self is impossible while being alive. The less one becomes attached to survival, the more happy they become. The less one tries to manipulate and control things, the more blissful they become. But there has to be a limit for that, because otherwise it will inevitably lead to physical death. Physical death is 100% God consciousness and bliss, while maintaining a 99% God consciousness in my opinion is the permanent no-self that enlightened people talk about. And actually, death is the ultimate goal of life, both metaphorically (conceptual) and literally (physical). -
@mandyjw Please stop laughing out of the blue! Your laughter is contagious ??

@Jkris I only speak what I know. Don't get tricked by the terms though. Everyone has their own dictionary. Call no-self whatever you want, it doesn't compare to the actual thing. You want the actual thing, not the theory. Ego as a simple example is you thinking that your thoughts are true. In the sense that they could replace reality. Like imagining that milk is black and actually believe it. Another term for ego is inauthenticity. It's letting imagination (part) take control over reality (whole). And no, you can't be in a permanent state of no desire for food and still be alive, unless you inject something into your blood, but then you actually are desiring to live which defeats the original position of no desire. -

I actually find it very important to give up on the path. Because once you've given up, you're liberated. That's why radical open-mindedness is required. Because you have to consider the possibility that all of spirituality is bs. Otherwise, you'd always be stuck in the story of enlightenment. -
Meditate.

@xthebentnecklady You have a lot of work to do. This realm right here is magical. You just can't see it yet. You don't know anything whatsoever. You assume and live according to your assumptions that are learned from beliefs or experiences. (me and everyone else do that as well). You don't have to suffer, unless you choose to. You create your suffering by resisting yourself. That's the whole story. To understand what Leo is saying, you'd have to lose all of your concepts of time (future and past) as you're listening to him. That will make everything easier for you to understand. RIGHT NOW is where all imagination occurs, including the future and the past.

Okay cool! Then again, how do things happen? By whose will? How do thoughts appear out of nowhere? How are thoughts related to actual physical activities? How could they be? -
Truth Addict replied to moon777light's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Jkris Ego is the illusion, or basically any kind of lie. i.e. mistaking the map for the territory, attaching meaning to things, etc... No-self means emptiness, void, blank awareness that has no qualities or desires whatsoever. It's what's referred to as waking up from the dream. -
Truth Addict replied to moon777light's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
There is a difference between no-ego and no-self. No-ego means enlightenment (ego-death). It's like becoming a baby, instinct leads the way. Full authenticity mode. It works very well for survival. It can be permanent. No-self means actual death. It's a dangerous state. If you ever happened to glimpse it, you wouldn't even care about survival, and you wouldn't mind dying. You would have the strength to absorb the pain of the whole world and you without even breaking a sweat. It's pure bliss. Luckily, it's a temporary state, and you will go back to normal after a little while, unless you decide not to. -

@Inder Sorry. But your question cannot be answered with a simple yes or no. Your question is full of groundless assumptions that need to be taken for granted in order to give answers. Examples: "free will", "you", "we", "have control". I could create a similar question: If hjki say uik are Vnioo, then do jfoyd think jtzsisto exist or 6ff jjtokjg dpdpd? Please give me straight forward answers, don't beat around Bush. Yes or No? Thanks That's how your question sounds to God. -

Yes, it's all genetics. Accept that and move on if you want to evolve and become happy. Resist it and keep complaining if you want to keep living like shit. Really simple. You don't have a choice. Choose right now. -

And you're always at the ultimate state as well ? -
@kieranperez What you want is happiness (or at least peace of mind) which is independent of everything else, except your mindset. Your mindset is causing you suffering. There isn't a meaningful job that you should pursue in life. That's a fantasy that people like to blabber about for their own reasons. In the real life, no doing anything can make you happy or fulfilled, no amount of money can make you happy or fulfilled, because there is something that is resisting happiness, which is called ego which is you (sorry for breaking your rule). You are resisting happiness. Not that you don't want it, but because you were programmed to do so, like all of us. Everything is meaningless when you think about it. But at the same time, everything is meaningful when you stop thinking and resisting. I work for nearly 7 hours a day (in two different jobs), and every single moment feels like paradise. I don't like my jobs, and I don't hate them either. I just accept them and know that I am lucky. You already know what is real. You merely think you don't. So, don't stress too much about this topic, there's really nothing to know. Ironically, your pursuit of Truth is causing you suffering, like it did to me. You say to yourself that you will not accept being happy until you find the truth. Ask yourself why. It's probably spiritual indoctrination (my assumption, since that was my case). Your objective in life before enlightenment is to become free, to achieve liberation. After enlightenment, you're FREE! You can do whatever you want, including the same old things, only minus the suffering. So, break all the chains and become free. What helped me the most was meditation, very long hours. So, that's the key. I'm trying to help you as you asked for advice. If you find my comment blabber and bs please ignore it. I wish you all the best, and I apologise for any earlier stress that I might have caused you. I was meaning good as I am right now. Best of luck!
