Hmmm, I think this is true, probably only after transcending tier one. Before that, I would say it's just glimpses and temporary states which can happen without much open-mindedness. So, maybe if we're talking about permanent enlightenment, open-mindedness is essential? -

Two sides of the same coin. That's what I would call "open-mindedness", not enlightenment. My definition of enlightenment is just the realisation of God. No matter where you are on the spiral. LMAO ? Again, enlightenment can happen at any stage of the spiral. The occurrence of it is irrelevant to one's cognitive development. However, the interpretation of it is so much affected by the stage one's at. In a sense, the cognitive development (ego) has power over experience in that case. It's a tint that colours the experience. So, you can have Purple, Red, Blue, etc... enlightenment. ..... Think of dogmas like locks on the mind. Any type of dogma is a limitation that you put on your thinking. It's obvious what we usually mean by dogma. But the twist here is that we think that being non-dogmatic is actually not a dogma. Let's say there are degrees of freedom to all the ways of thinking that exist. In this case, being non-dogmatic would be the most free way of thinking, and the most effective place to be in. BUT, there's a little problem with that as well, and it's that being non-dogmatic, by definition, rejects and denies dogmas altogether. So, I see that as a bug. Because what if I need to be dogmatic in certain areas or for a certain period of time? You see the paradox? "No, I can't be dogmatic. I am free". Just a neurotic reaction. A lock inside of the 'freedom paradigm'. What I'm advocating is the transcendence of that duality, to the point where one can jump between the two freely without having locked their minds. I think we're in agreement here, since you've referred to something similar in one of our earlier discussions. However, that would still not be enlightenment. That would simply be tier two. -

@kieranperez There's no one here. You're talking to yourself. -

@kieranperez Well, you're the one who's suffering, not me. I've found bliss, and was trying to point you to it. I can't help you if you don't want to help yourself. Keep on mentally masturbating, and you will get nowhere. -

Which one? ?? I love arguing with you. You make very good points. -

Be careful not to project your values on Mohammad. He was not a hippie nor a Sufi. He had a lot of wealth, and he wasn't ashamed of it. I don't care how he used it. He was wealthy. Period. He started poor, and died rich. -
I have to skip today's run. My body is exhausted after more than 9 hours of work yesterday besides the run and the one hour of walking. I don't want to exhaust myself even more. I have another more than 9 hours of work today as well. But today I finish painting the room, so I'll be free after that, I'll get back to my usual 5-6 hours of work.

@Leo Gura What is the relationship between being enlightened and being non-dogmatic? I don't think the two are even related at all. To me, being non-dogmatic is just another dogma. (not kidding). You can’t escape dogma. If you could, then you'd be separate from reality. If you could, then there would be duality. -

@Angelite Do you not believe the Quran? Your answer is in the verse 93:8 Or you can do some research about his life. And no, I am NOT a Muslim. -

I understand that. That all is still in the domain of the rational mind, something abstract, which I personally consider mental masturbation. What I was trying to point out to you is beyond that, don't let the simplicity trick you. That's actually a very good example of how deceiving the spiritual paradigm is. You think that what you wrote is actually true, when in fact it isn't. It only seems true from inside the paradigm that you're operating from right now. If you look at it from the meta perspective, you'll start to see glitches in the matrix. That's a definition that exists only in dictionaries. Does it actually exist in your direct experience of the present moment though? Can you point to one thing in the present moment that appears and seems one way but its actual condition is another? Be careful with your answers. These are deal-breaker questions. If you knew the answers, you would have already been enlightened. -
You will not regret this, trust me

Why? There's nothing wrong with material success and pleasure. It's just Sufis and hippies (stage Green) who despise the material aspect of life. -

@kieranperez I see, and I apologise for how I come off usually. If you're interested in further discussion, here's some: What is a 'relative' thing? How is relativity even possible? What does it mean to call something 'true'? No disagreements here. Although the underlying assumption that 'something isn't absolutely true' is itself a mere assumption. To me, the spiritual paradigm is a collection of schools of thought, that are mixed in together, or, roughly speaking, only one single school of thought. Any of which, is imprinted in the students as the right and true pointers towards Truth or God or something like that. I think that the spiritual paradigm is the biggest obstacle before liberation, as one would have to kill 'their' Buddha, which is the most precious thing they have, and the thing that has gotten them this far. Of course, that's my spiritual paradigm, it's part of the teaching and learning process, and it's just a pointer. After that, it's no longer necessary. I would specifically be cautious with the words used here, especially the word 'illusion' and its derivatives. What is it in your experience that you call an illusion? Is illusion even possible? If so, how? Exactly! ? Why call it illusion in the first place? Could that be the exact same case with everything else that you don't consider illusory? That's your right, brother. I'm not judging anything, just simply trying to help. I apologise again for my arrogance and ignorance. -

Egoic fear is not a survival mechanism for the body. It's rather a survival mechanism for the ego. This distinction is very important. -

Realise that everything you said is inside the spiritual paradigm. And that none of it is actually true. -

@khalifa Very simple. Spiral Dynamics explains it very well. That's the difference between Turquoise and Green. The difference is not in the degrees of enlightenment, but in the degrees of cognitive development. If you read about Mohammad, it's clear to see that he was very nuanced. He has characteristics of Purple, Red, Blue, Orange, Green, Yellow, and Turquoise. There was a lot of integration within and between his psyche and behaviour. He himself wasn't dogmatic at all, but the people he lived with all were otherwise. Yet, he succeeded in using their dogmas and way of thinking to spread his message. The guy was definitely a legend. He started from zero, and created Islam out of nothing. He started broke and alone, and he ended up rich and a loved husband, father, and leader. He was definitely beyond Sufis altogether. -
It was a surprisingly good run! I've made it to 20 minutes and was able to go further. I stopped because I'm cautious of the after-workout pain/tenderness (I don't know what it's called in English). I don't understand. I started to develop breathlessness but then it's easy to make it to 20 minutes! WTF?! Maybe because I usually walk for one hour a day? I should install an app on my phone so that I can record my average speed while running. My best record was three years ago, I guess. It was about 3.1 meters per second for 30 minutes. Anyway, yeah, it feels refreshing but not like it used to do. It used to make me high when I exhaust myself. Maybe I should? Then again, I'm high all the time. I'll post my record of the next run, probably tomorrow.
-
Yesterday, I got motivated to start practising running again. Today, I'm going for my first run since over two months. I've lost stamina. I'm probably not going to last even 15 minutes. But hey, better late than never, right? Let's go!

??? @kieranperez You can seek or you can know. You're a seeker as long as you make yourself to be. So long you have higher authorities, you don't get it.
