Truth Addict replied to SQAAD's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@SQAAD It seems horrible from your pov. However, from the criminals' pov, it seems like the best thing in the world. Who's to say which one is true? -

@New We can always choose between happiness, success, or both. In my experience, complete happiness is more fundamental.

I became aware of this a few weeks ago, and I wanted to share it with you to get more understanding, so if you like to add, criticise, or correct anything, I'd appreciate it. I will present my ideas in a theme of general speaking, so I hope they won't come out vague, but at the same time I don't want to tackle with technicalities. So, here goes.. Labour, or the hierarchy that allows one person to benefit from other people's efforts. How does this trick work exactly? In the optimal situation of any living creature, the creature pays for what it consumes in very fair ways. For example: there is a certain amount of energy in the body of a cat, this energy allows the cat to go look for food and sex, when the cat gets its food, it gets more energy, it's kind of like a video game. But, for human beings, it's not like that. The trick happens through illusion and belief, especially beliefs about the future. For you as a human being, if you're not on the top of the hierarchy, then you pay a lot more than you earn. Whereas people who are at the top, pay a lot less (in energy terms). We sell our present moment in the hopes of future pleasures. Consider this, I am an employer and I have 10 employees, they work for me 8 hours a day. I earn my money everyday, whereas they earn their money after 30 days (depends and varies of course). That means I get 80 hours of work a day, for working only 8 hours. But that's not exactly the trick. In a company, when you sign a contract, there's an underlying agreement that you will get paid after 30 days, or in other words, you lend your company your effort (energy that becomes money) for 30 days, and so do your colleagues, which makes the boss the biggest winner with the least effort. It's a fundamental flaw in the hierarchy of the human civilisation, or is it really a flaw? Oh, I don't think so. Really, all I imagine of when I think of this trick, is the Egyptian slaves who'd built the pyramids. So, in conclusion, everything I do that doesn't get me my earnings during the day is a trick, or you can say: the sooner the better, because what if I die tomorrow? You see? Generally speaking, the employers earn their money daily, whereas the labour (employees) earn it after a week/month. If an employee has worked 29 days, and died in the 30th day, the boss gets the money and the employee don't. It's literally the bosses borrowing their employees' present moment, and the employees lending their present moment to their bosses for the future. Notice this dynamic in government as well, I expect that every collective ego has such a dynamic. One good solution I think is career. I can't think of anything else right now. I know this is not necessarily the case all the time and I know of course we can't get rid of this slavery in one day, but it's good to be aware of it.

@Zetxil I'm sorry, I have contemplated what you said, but I kept ending up with the same conclusion: I don't have a free will. To me, it seems like I'm more of a third-party, as an insider, that is watching the decisions being made without my interference. "We're all puppets, Laurie. @bejapuskas of course ? @Juan Cruz Giusto regarding the bank transaction point, that's exactly what I was criticising, why should the employees pay for their employers' debts? That's the trick, the employer who has the money to run their company can easily supply their work for one month in forward, and they should, because it's their company. Imagine I am starting a company with no money to pay my employees, I would let them work for a whole month, and then I would pay them. It certainly shouldn't be that way, but it actually is. A car can't run without fuel, but the fuel is paid by the employees. An ideal job wouldn't be that way. And sure, the employee dying is not the case, maybe I exaggerated a little bit.

Truth Addict replied to Wisebaxter's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Wisebaxter Interesting thing about emotions, is that all of them are one emotion, Love. Only Love, and all the other emotions are derived from It. Try to feel it in your direct experience, it's really one emotion, colored and shaped by your ideas. In this case, hatred is love for some 'thing' or some 'one' , and not Everything "God". Or, in other words, hatred is a limited kind of love. Why does hatred feel different than love? Because it's limited to the self, while love at the very least, extends to the other(s). Growth is independent of suffering, you will also grow from bliss, only in different ways -
Hmm.. Maybe try to make your ideas more lifelike by bringing more examples from real life to your presentation. That way, it will make you feel more comfortable, and it'll allow you to speak more authentically, plus it will make your presentation much enjoyable to the audience.

Do you have the ability to present your ideas in an a-rational sort of way? I mean don't force yourself to be rational, maybe you're an extrovert and you don't like technicalities.

@Zetxil Right there is the illusion of free will, illusion here means not being 100% sure, and that's fine, if you are convinced that this illusion is enough for you, then by all means, believe it, I don't have anything against that. The free will you're advocating seems on the surface more practical, but pragmatism is part of the illusion as well, and I believe sometimes it's necessary to believe the illusion, and sometimes it isn't, but rather crippling (like in this case, feeling guilty). After all, you don't choose whether you like to believe or not, it was never your choice, ta-da! And the same goes for me, I don't choose if I like to not believe the illusion, it was never my choice. We don't choose when to believe or what to believe, that's a fact. But still, we can believe, it's just not up to us what the choice might be. As for 'thinking', I use this word loosely, sometimes I mean 'believe', sometimes I mean 'convinced', sometimes I mean 'identity with thought', sometimes I mean 'believe the thoughts', sometimes I mean all of them. To me, the ego means identification with something, while Truth means literally everything.

@Mu_ @Zetxil I didn't mean to make it depressing, I apologise if it seemed so. And no, I'm not saying there's an evil plan to enslave people by the bosses. All I'm saying is that there's so much inequality in this pyramid scheme, the bosses are the most benefited, and the employees are not paid fairly. That's not a mistake, but at the same time it's not an evil plan. That's what happens when you give an unconscious ego so much power (money in this case). The boss who does the least physically exhausting work gets the most money (in my experience, the boss gets at least the double or more than what the totality of employees earn), which adds to the problem once again (capital inflation). We have to consider that these luxuries we have today are not equal to the amount of sources that have been discovered by humanity, there's so much money wasted on wars and on propaganda etc... and this wage slavery feeds to the problem, because if we were all equal, why would we fight? Now, don't mistake me for a fan of complete equality, equality when it's taken to its extreme also doesn't work, and it causes problems, we will always need this hierarchy to move in life, but as I said earlier, it's good to be aware of it, which means if the bosses become aware of their evil, we will see more equality and compassion, that's all.

illusion (ego, me) is part of Truth (God, Me). Illusion is the part, not the whole. (metaphorically speaking).

Truth Addict replied to Pouya's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Pouya Useful insight! Almost as useful as a toilet paper, use it once and then throw it in the trash. What I mean is, this is also a belief and it's false, so what do you do? Go! -
@Moreira Don't think it. Feel it.

Truth Addict replied to Aeris's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Joseph Maynor @Shadowraix The problem with duality is that you already assume the existence of something and then you try to disprove it. For example, choice has never ever existed except in thought, so it doesn't exist in the actual reality, it remains a thought. When you say: choice vs no choice, free will vs no free will, etc.. The problem is that you assume your claim to be true from the beginning (that thing actually exists), where in fact, it never was. Very simple, yet very tricky. -
Excuse me! Just to be clear: Everything is Truth, illusion is misidentification of Truth. That's what I know, how is everything an illusion?
-
In my direct experience, all labels are illusions. So, it doesn't matter what I think. It will never be the case. Life is fine and it's never stopped working without my thinking, so why even think?
-
The point isn't that you should or shouldn't feel a certain emotion. The point is that it isn't even up to you how you feel.
-
Labels, just labels. Consciousness, free will, no free will, ego, tree, car, reality, etc... It's quite a problem trying to convey silence with sound. If we want to be accurate, then all we can say about it is this:

Truth Addict replied to Matt23's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Matt23 You do nothing. You let them do what they want to do, and you watch them, and you watch the thoughts arising. It's like asking: am I allowed to blink my eyes during do-nothing meditation? Your main concern in meditation should only be observing the present moment. Meditation = observation. -
I don't know why. Maybe it's a trick, to make life more dramatic and thrilling. But that isn't conclusive, please go on with me on this inquiry: Do you choose your desires? How come there's even something called desire? Did you choose to have a desire? Did you choose to be even born in the first place? Did you choose the family you grew up in? Did you choose the kind of teaching that you've got since the day you were born right until now? Did you choose to think you have a free will? Did you choose what kind of ideas you will pick up while striving in life? Or, Is it all a thought, and nothing more, that claims to have free will? Learning with directed thoughts vs learning without them.

@shubhankar You get distracted by your thoughts. What are the thoughts pointing you to do? You can ignore the thoughts and keep working (do what you have to do), or you can follow your thoughts (do what you want to do). The first option will make you successful, the latter will make you happy. You need to strike a perfect balance between what you want and what you need in order to become the best version of yourself. It's an art, and it will take time and practice.

And the choice is based on what? Do you have any choice over what you base your choice on? You need to go all the way find out. Okay, I broke my word.
