I like Leo a lot now more than ever, and I liked him so much even before. To me, he seems even more authentic, and that's enough for me to like someone. I'm so excited to see what's coming next!

Somehow I'm receiving this thread as a rationalisation of love. That somehow someone should think about it, like when someone abuses a child it's out of love, but the child can't comprehend or accept that, and therefore the child won't be able to see the love. But there's one step above, which is emotions and direct experience. When a child is abused, he/she will at least feel pain and emotional reactions, right? Well, that's exactly what love is. God loves us through emotions, every emotion is an incarnation of God's love. Every emotion is there to protect us, to keep us alive as egos. Try to feel in your direct experience that everything you feel is there to keep you safe, notice how your mind and body feel and work when dealing with trauma or stress, it's all love, it was all love.

You are aware, and the one who's aware must always be meta. What does that mean? When you ask yourself the question: "Who am I?" , and then you try to locate yourself in your direct experience, you simply just go meta on yourself. Okay, so what does that process do? That allows you to disidentify from anything that is not you (the idea of you for example), and simply brings you closer to your true self, which is awareness (the meta), and then you keep persistent with the question, until being meta becomes a second nature, and then you will know who you are. Some of the practical benefits of self-inquiry: True happiness, which is peace of mind. You gain control over your thoughts and actions. Making decisions becomes a lot easier and of more quality. Most of your problems will seem ridiculously simple. Positive emotions become deeper and stronger. Negative emotions become deeper and stronger as well, but you become more comfortable and peaceful with them. That was my experience with self-inquiry, and everyday things are getting clearer and better. I hope this thread will be useful to someone who is in need.

@Nathan J Wanting comes from believing. If you believe in something, you will want to do something about it. It seems to me that you want to discipline yourself, and that you want to want , these are good signs. But have you inquired why you do want them in the first place? Again, believing is the fuel of life. You can't move forward without belief. So, check your current beliefs about life, and change them to your benefit. Good luck!

@Nathan J Make sure you don't confuse the map with the territory, it seems to me like you are taking spiral dynamics too literally, if I was you I would examine that. This has to do with discipline, mindfulness, and concentration. The solution is to do some research on these subjects, watch some videos and then do the work, beware not to fall into the trap of procrastination and over-theorising. Of course, the solution requires a problem in the first place, so you must consider these issues as problems in order to succeed in changing them, or else accept yourself as you are if you have more important things to do. I don't follow here! What do you mean? Spiral dynamics doesn't have only one criterion to measure yourself on. It's a very complex theory. You can be at stage turquoise and still have a job, it's completely irrelevant. It's only how you perform and practise your work and develop your skills that change, and for the better of course. The more you grow (physically), the more experience you will acquire. And it adds up everyday. So by definition, everyday you become smarter than yesterday. I don't know if my advice alone are enough, and it's only a perspective, you certainly know better. But I hope you find what you're looking for.

@Emne Consistency is just for building your discipline. You should meditate as much as you need to, might be 5 mins, might be 5 hours. @sidaz10 It's better to place quality above quantity at first. Once quality is maintained, quantity is a matter of discipline.

If I may answer.. No, you're fine. Just keep on noticing that strange phenomena, observe it and it will fix itself by itself. The reason that is the case is because you need time to adjust until the old awareness gets replaced with the new one.

I like abandoning the past and believing in the future, what are you gonna do about it?

@SQAAD Well, consider... How do trees grow when they have NO FREE WILL? How does rain fall when it has NO FREE WILL? How does the sun rise and set when it has NO FREE WILL? Etc...
