It is here ALL the time. What you are is never never. Despite your being aware of it or not. Despite you being awake, asleep, dead, unconscious or in a deep samadhi, it is ALWAYS here. It was one of the most important points for me. Because you see the phantom self always attributes it to itself. Oh "I" meditated enough, now "I" am aware of my real Self. No. Every moment, every instant of experience or no experience is the Self realizing itself. By being completely deluded it realizes itself, by seeing through illusion it realizes itself. The Absolute doesn't care one bit about your effort. That being said, I know what you mean with overpowering consciousness. It's not two different things, it's more like the Self saw its illusion well enough so it naturally keeps on shedding them away. There is no doer, no chooser. It's all the Self. That doesn't mean not to put in an effort, but to think that the effort itself reveals the truth is madness. Who is responsible for that? Whenever thinking in these terms, there is always a second. Non duality must be taken to its ultimate degree until nothing is left, or it's just another alley of confusion. Not saying anything against you, just letting out what wanted to come out when I read your sentences ??❤️

@LfcCharlie4 I'd add by emphasizing the point that the majority doesn't use psychedelics specifically for exploring non-duality. Even most "spiritual" people get rather confused and just change their belief systems through what they experience. I'm not excluding myself, this work is extremely tricky, because the ego structure is so tenacious. To use them for non dual understanding, you have to be careful, skillful, and patient. I doubt the hippie movement had this knowledge.

You don't need any psychedelics for what you're saying you value. And if you do use them, the ones we have are ridiculously powerful already!!! No matter what gets revealed, we always want the better thing, the next big wonder pill. That tendency itself will keep you in the cycle forever.

@blankisomeone You can realize it only by being your self, by going so deep that you are the answer. You won't understand it and that's okay. All the reasoning is only a cheap mirror that has to be used to express the inexpressible. Don't try to cling to any logic. Especially don't try to get you to believe anything. This is not about belief. Even though Leo uses this word, he knows it's beyond belief. It's just the truth of what is. So just know that this might be a possibility. Don't try to proof it right. Go so deep that you won't have to second guess. You won't even put it into words because it's so direct and simple. And for that you know what to do - do the practices. And never forget that you already are That. Nowhere to go. You are all your answers ❤️

Jesus, I thought you would bring some valid points because I also have some minor critiques and doubts about the teaching but ... Your "tests" show that you don't at all grasp what is being said. Ultimately, yes, definitely. It's the classic taking the map for the territory. Although, I have to say honestly, I would be very interested to know how your specific view would change or not change if you experimented with psychedelics yourself. Maybe in a different dimension Don't really get that, why is coined in a negative way (defilement)? I think I don't really grasp what is said here.

Hahaha yes I get what you're saying. But honestly, if you look at the psychedelic community that specifically uses entheogens for healing and spiritual insight, there seems to be quite a balance between men and women seeing these substances as extremely powerful medicines. Not so much in the "let's go meet aliens" or "rave with infinite fractals around me" camp - there it's indeed mostly men I agree. Just saying, EVERYTHING is a tool - every thought you think about what is true, every "just being" moment where you don't think, you could call all of that a tool. The only thing which is not is Being itself. But we can't do anything about it. So it's more than valuable to use tools with caution while seeing their place in the whole journey. I know, you probably aren't particularly against this thought, but I see a general black/white split of people being extremely hyped about the tools and people being overly dismissive.

?? It is!! Thank you ?? Yes and I honor that method totally. Maybe I needed to go the smoking method first. I have to say smoking is super straight forward and easy (I have a GVG, just one big hit and that's it!). I have to process all that and when I'm going back in, I'll experiment with both methods to find out what I prefer. I like the direct effect taking over instead of the slow burner though to be honest. Has a certain way of teaching in a sense.

@Calmness I'm on the path since 5 years, psychedelic use started about 3,5-4 years ago. Plenty of LSD and mushroom trips, within the last year also a good amount of DMT journeys, but only a few of those really a breakthrough. 2CB also two or three times. My practice developed from mindfulness meditation to self inquiry to self abidance, on the way I also did many deep psychedelic journeys, contemplation, Yoga Nidra and a short duration of Kirya Yoga. In the last months I found the most potent and important thing is 24/7 abidance in what I am. For that I had to come to a certain point though. What i basically do as a reminder is "Am I? - I Am". Even the question "Who Am I" is already creating duality. I needed to see that. Today all my understanding in this direction was confirmed. I am That, regardless of my ego being there or not. There is no ego to die for me to be That. There is no existence or non-existence in That. It is and it will ever be, eternally. And at the same time, what I thought I knew about "That" got completely erased and I was put into direct Being. The clarity of the light of 5-MeO is incredible. Cuts through anything. 10 seconds after the exhalation, the ego was already melted completely.

I did three back to back smoking sessions this evening. And, other than with my plugging experience so far, I broke through - easily even. HOLY SHIT... I understand the "Oh my fucking God" reaction you talked about. The last of the sessions was only that. I understand why everyone says DMT is child's play compared to this. I understand why Martin Ball recommends several back to back sessions, for every single one went infinitely deeper. I understand why he says other spiritual practices are not necessary - I don't know if he's right, and I will continue my practices, but I totally understand why he's saying it. I understand what immortality means, and how incredibly, ridiculously ineffable reality is. It's... just so extremely radical, I don't know what to think of it. I don't even want to understand it conceptually. What I can say is that I'm grateful I came back to this body, and I will continue the psychedelic path more inspired and humble than ever. 5-MeO is pure non-duality in a substance, now I can honestly say I verified that for myself. Thank you all for your help so far, I can't believe how lucky I am living in conditions where I can use this powerful tool and having such a great community guiding each other. Now I will focus my next weeks on integration and grounding. I love you all ❤️??

Well I see what you mean, but evaluating comfort is so far away for me when on 5-MeO... Even on 20mg it was the very opposite of comfortable, my heart felt like it would stop every second. But what is the fear and what is the actual body feeling? Hard to tell honestly. My arrogant, stubborn ego that wants enlightenment would go very far, that I learnt. And I'm happy that it's helping in its own uncovering, but I honestly would worry about actually dying >45mg. It's 3x the dosage you need for a full blown breakthrough when smoking...

Is that really still safe?

@nowimhere I havn't gone to 40, but almost. And also no breakthrough. I have had some N.N-DMT breakthroughs lately and it took a lot of my fear away from the smoking route. I am considering to give smoking 5-MeO a shot if my plugging experiments are continuing to be similar to yours. I mean I've read so much until now, but still: Is there any downside to smoking it and later getting back to plugging? The only worry I have is that I might scream, which doesn't seem to happen when plugging...

Exactly. And I see that by saying God, this is where some try to point to. But it doesn't help, and to say it's ultimately true is just another concept, which confuses many people. I get now why certain mystics talked the way they did - or didn't want to talk at all. At some point you have to cut off the very underlying mind that tries to get anywhere else than HERE.

Yes you're right, and I always try to see where I'm maybe projecting my own closed-mindedness. And in a way I don't even want to openly question these things. But it's not that I haven't had my own experiences for years. What seems to happen here is that some say "I saw what's really true and everything that's not it is falling short of it" and some say "what if there's still more to transcend and you're just seeing part of the picture?". And I'm saying this because that's what many great teachers point to: you have to be very careful not to delude yourself. The fact is you only think what's true from your current perspective. I've had a few breakthroughs into love / God / oneness realization. And yet I hold it as a possibility that in the moment of breakthrough, there is only understanding when the mind jumps in and interprets. Yes, you're God in a certain sense. But in a more absolute sense, there's neither you or God, these are all ideas. And since people talk about "the highest truth", no, YOU - BEING - ANYTHING is not the highest truth.

Well said! The understanding you can lose is not it. The realization you can have and then forget is not it. The peace you have to get to through any means is not it. The state you can know is not it. Thank you for sharing your journey

But even that is just a thought. For nonduality to be there needs to be an opposite. For Oneness to be, there would need to be not-Oneness. By naming it, you automatically imply that there is a contrast to that. That's why all that needs to be let go of. You can realize oneness and not see that that is still an interpretation of that which has no opposite, which can't be named. Duality and Non-Duality is still a pair, still a contrast. Even all that jargon is too much already!
