  1. "The immensity of silence is the immensity of the mind in which a center does not exist." -J.Krishnamurti
  2. I got this book for Christmas and finished it just now. That's right, it's August. It was not the length of the book that kept me at it so long, it's a very short one. It was the profundity. Sometimes a chapter or just a sentence would leave me staggering, gasping for my breath, trying to hold on to existence somehow! In short, it's one of the most powerful books I ever read. Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj was an Indian sage, who's primary message could be summed up in these words- "The important thing is the consciousness. You must give your full attention to the consciousness itself. That is the process of meditation; then all the secrets will be revealed to you by the consciousness." This book is a transcript of the conversation he had during the last year of his life. He (or as he always said, the body) was very sick with cancer by that point. The incredible value here is that we can see how a jnani (a liberated one) approaches death. As he describes it, he lets go beyond consciousness into the Absolute, leaving everything behind. The last words of the book: "I am not able to talk any longer—the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Previously I used to welcome people but now I am not in a position to welcome them. They come, they sit and they go by themselves. I cannot even extend my hospitality. All my knowledge has gone into liquidation. I am unconcerned." =================================================================== Title: Consciousness and the Absolute : the Final Talks of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj Author: Nisargadatta Maharaj, Jean Dunn (Editor) Number of pages: 118
  3. @Esoteric @TheAvatarState did you get the book? Is it any good?

  5. Hi All. We set up a little Love experiment, a little Love project. It was inspired by the occult idea of servitors, which are mostly used in those circles for the purposes of acquiring money, fame, etc. We thought, why not make a servitor with the purpose of Love? Why not use these occult principles and create a specific, group intention of Love to help us come together and give. This is an experiment. You are welcome to join in and bring in your views on this, ideas, etc. I will now share a little explanation and the "data" for Balovealo. Again, feel free to comment, ask questions, etc. Explanation: The data:
  6. Oh and this also - A tough workout for your mind/intellect. Edit: Ok you can go far beyond your mind/intellect with this. It is basically Krishnamurti trying to wake up Bohm. And you, if you like.
  7. Read Walt Whitman's poems!

  11. @Villager Albert That's cool. Glad it proved inspirational!
  12. Meditation is supposed to make you feel. That's it. If it is terrible stuff that is surfacing up, it will make you feel that. If it's time for bliss and love, it will make you feel that. Go with it. Good luck
  13. This is basically like a Leo's video about spirituality This is awesome. This guy seems to be much more conscious than 95% of the people I know, even though he is homeless, never went to school etc.
  14. Letting Go by David R. Hawkins
  15. Try https://www.betterworldbooks.com/. It is used books, but they have this cool thing, where for every book you buy they donate a book to someone in need. They do some cool stuff
  16. Jan Esmann is a man teaching about enlightenment. He looks like a nerd: Not only does he look like one, he IS a computer nerd. He is a software developer. He developed software called Power Retouch that does some stuff with Photoshop. And that's not all! He is a painter also. Does some great art... He is so good in painting, that he teaches the stuff also. He wrote books about enlightenment. And about painting. He meets with people giving them shaktipat. Why this post? Well I don't know the guy, I am not associated with him, never met him, but I came across and saw the variety of things he does and how "unusually a Buddha" he might seem. I don't know about you, but I sure was holding a lot of beliefs about what an enlightened life looks like. What my Life Purpose should be if I am interested in awakening. And a nerd programmer, painter, teacher, shaktipat giver is such a good way to see it a little differently, no? BE YOU
